Hey Mike how have you been? Just ran across this old video of yours and after watching it again figured I’d comment. Thought I heard someone calling your name the other day hope that was you my brother. Was curious if you ever built that amp with the tube I sold you? Spoke with 95 in Florida and he’s looking out for more of those, what a beautiful tube that was indeed.. Get with me and hope alls well with you my friend. Maul……

your hairpin support looks like its supported by aluminium, am I mistaken and is it plexiglass supporting your hairpin
@beaversnoppy

the element is split in half and the element is supported by the red fiberglass plates , the aluminium around the fiberglass is for u bolt support . the only place the elements are grounded is through the slider on the hairpin

I hope you understand that coax cable cannot be grounded. everything you did there was basically done for nothing. what do I know I'm an RF engineer for an FM station.

Coax cable can be grounded and should be grounded in a professional installation. Hope this helps. www.telcoantennas.com.au/site/mid-span-grounding-kit-1-2-coaxial-cable
