Leigh is amazing and funny and talented - but all you need to do is just read the manual of the keyboard :) I'll admit watching Leigh's video is much more fun!

I got my Genos2 a couple of weeks ago and it was your tutorials that pushed me to get it. im so glad i did and now you have shown me something thats blown my mind even more 😮 really looking forward to learning how to play this thing properly, plus learn how to get new samples/styles/voices etc and how to add these. can you download specific songs with the correct sounds for that track?

Hello Leigh it’s a pleasure to see your videos. Where in the Genos 1 is the vocoder located. I worry that I’m going to mess things up on the Genos

Your video's are better than the manual that comes with the Genos 2. I've got this machine for about 4 months now and it'll take me until the end of the year at least until I figure out how everything works. I'm going to retire from work after 2 more week, so then I'll finally have more time to figure out everything the Genos 2 can do.... or what you can do with it. Now here is my question: have you found a faster way to copy things you recorded on the Genos 2 to a usb flash drive? All I can fnd is that you have to copy it in real time to a flash drive, but there has to be a way to pick up your recorded mp3 or wav and put it on a flash drive like you copy mp3's on a computer.... or isn't there? Hope you can answer my question.Thanks in advance and keep us informed please.

I have met with a major flaw with the Genos 2. There is no seamless transition when changing between Style Variations and also, more grave, Voices. This is evident when you try and change from a Registration to another. For example if in Registration 1 I use 1 voice whilst Registration 2 uses 3 voices, when I change from Reg2 to Reg1 whilst still am playing a key on the right hand (Right1+Right2+Right3), the note of that key becomes loud and you have to release it for it to go silent. This is very annoying to hear and is not acceptable. It is a bit difficult for me to explain without showing you by a video clip or otherwise. My Roland E-80 I purchased 16 years ago doesn't do this and is seamless when both changing Styles and also Voices and thus Registrations. I'm suspecting this could be corrected by a future update of the OS. I would like to hear some comments about this issue especially from those who bought a Genos 2 before I try to contact Yamaha. Thank you

The reason you have this problem is down to you using different effect levels between registrations. The keyboard doesn’t do this if you don’t have vastly different fx each preset. There seems to be a lack of knowledge around this and people like yourself keep claiming it’s an issue when it really isn’t. Owners would be reporting this in droves - they aren’t because it doesn’t exist if you use the instrument correctly.

@@LeighWilbraham I did not touch the effects and used the default OTS and it still does this. It's when changing Variations with OTS no:4 containing 3 voices (Right1+Right2+Right3) and holding a key that it suddenly becomes loud. Why doesn't the Roland do this?
@LeighWilbraham

Why would you hold the notes and then press OTS change??? Makes no sense musically
