Must be a reason why yamaha fits the exhaust servo? Can't believe u just cut it out on a brand new bike & threw it in the bin! Lol!

Yes it's for emissions regulations. It stays closed when idle and then opens with throttle. It's always the first thing to go!

Motovice, I tried removing my OEM frame bolts to install frame sliders with dewalt impact gun and by hand but these things are super tight. Is this normal? Or is a technique to loosen them without breaking the oem bolts etc? Same bike as yours a 2021 YZF R1.
@MotoViceOfficial

Definitely not normal, but ive also seen bolts on this bike where did deinitely used an impact gun but no reason to and way over torqued.

Thanks for the reply. Will try to use a higher powered impact gun. Just wanted to know if there was a trick to it or something.

@@fredflintstone4087 yeah maybe use wd40 or heat to loosen any locktite but they shouldn’t be torqued that high. I got my bolts of with a 3/8 wratchet. Make sure to do only one side at a time so the motor doesn’t drop.
@fredflintstone4087

@@MotoViceOfficial Thanks. Yeah the motor dropping would suck! I just hope the bolts don’t snap or something. I even double check the loosening direction with the way you turned it in your Vid. Just incase they were reverse threading. I’m going normal counterclockwise to try to loosen them and do plan on installing one at a time. I wonder if running the engine a bit could help loosen them too? When I tried the engine was at room temp. Thanks again for your advise and I already directed a friend to your channel. Like your brake bleeding solution and let me know how your brake pads went since I’m thinking of changing mine to the same ones in your vid?

Motovice, I used a torque wrench I had laying around with much more leverage and that finally loosened them off. They had no visible locktight but seem to be torqued high. Didn’t like how the frame sliders looked so I will still be looking for others to fit.

Im going to check my seat screws right nowww lol So the end of the video was what I found to be the most important part. I am about to buy a three-quarter exhaust system and my biggest concern was what the heck to do with those wires. You just cut them off and I think you're going to remove them. Can you make a video about that or explain that to me a little better? Also Any any pointers on the suspension adjustments? Video plz! I've been riding around 🐉her🐉 for 10 years on naked bikes upgraded with Hyper Pro suspension. My first super sport so idk bout any of the settings (Allen wrench n maybe an open ended wrench idk) HELP ive messed with it n its wack AF! We have same bike but im fat, for now n it all constant twisties. Or do u know factory settings idk, maybe a few videos. Thanks n happy holidays

Yep just cut the wires and remove the server motor from under the seat. Its not needed stock and especially with a 3/4 system. Its just a motor for emisions where it closes a flap inside your exhaust when your idling, and then it opens when throttle is applied. Just pulled out the wires, cut them to make it easier and just remove the servo motor. You will need the graves servo buddy to not show an engine code. In terms of suspension, it would be very hard to provide some inside on here. If you write me on IG i could show the stock settings that were on my bike before we did the changes. I just got my suspension set on Tuesday.

What does removing the servo motor do?

is the servo eliminator needed if you get a flash? also, what size spools did you get? i just picked up a 22' R1 and following along.
@MotoViceOfficial

Servo eliminator is not needed as it can be disabled with a flash. In terms of the spools, the ones I used are linked in the description but Yamaha uses a 6mm. Definitely check out the playlist for some ideas and help with installs!

Late question here but can i use any exup servo eliminator or does it have to be from graves? Doing some upgrades myself but exhaust is the last on my list, it will stay stock exhaust for now

The graves slider install has been going very badly for me. The left side bolt won’t thread in all the way, and I can’t tell why. Doesn’t appear to be cross threaded. Wonder if somehow the engine and frame somehow got misaligned. Very anxiety inducing
@MotoViceOfficial

Only do one at a time. Spray some wd40 on the threads and see if it goes in smoother. Now that I remember, it wasnt a smooth thread in either.

Have you thought about rear axle sliders? Should be more protective than the spool sliders.

I have but can't find ones that I want. Are you referring to ones that go over the axle nut? I think evotech makes a set for the rear.

@@MotoViceOfficial Yeah. I’m running LighTech but I do NOT recommend those. MotovationUSA use to make some for the 1 gen crossplane back in the day. They screwed into a bar that went all the way through the axle. I’ve wrecked my bike so many times.
