Thanks for the informative video Romeo! I appreciate your help on these machines

Grease cover is a "weapon" lol. Make sure you push the camplate sliders on so that there is about 1mm of metal showing out the end. If it is flush, it is not on far enough. Wear gloves when pushing down on the slider tool. Sliders are now manufactured with a solid core using additive manufacturing instead of printing.

Another nice video. What are your thoughts on leaving the grease cover on to help keep abrasive dust away from the rollers and such ?

Thanks! Some have done that but I personally think cooling is better with the cover off in a greaseless setup.

Light coat inside the collar as MO shows in the video. Plus a light coating on your shaft and splines. TinkSeal is also an anti-seize compound, so it will keep your fixed/sliding sheave and collar from welding to the shaft.

what is the benefit to the replacement cam plate sliders?

Hey Doug, for one thing, stock sliders are hard to come by. These have been opened up a little so you no longer have to machine the cam plate towers to ensure clearance. That, along with more surface area should help/eliminate binding in severe dust situations.

The carbon fiber sliders have 176 mm² more surface area. This increases the load area and reduces friction. Their dimensions and angles are maximized to resist binding in high dust environments. They have a modulus tensile strength of over 800Kpsi to resist squashing under load.

Where does all the dust go.

It blows out the CVT exhaust. I've found the RMAX dual CVT intake, larger ducting, and increased sheave fins evacuate dust a lot better than the previous gen sheaves.
All these are horrible tutorials... Why not start from beginning to end. Not middle to beginning to end... Like what to expect when disassembling and things like that

Go ahead and do it yourself Justin and share it with all of us. Here you go: www.wolverineforums.com/threads/massives-attempt-at-combining-sheave-service-from-beginning-to-end.35411/

@@MassiveOverkill I'm glad you mentioned that, cuz I actually did post a picture of how to get the housing off without cutting anything.. I don't have time to make a video on it though. I was just hoping for a one and done video. But thanks for the info that you have put out there
