Who said our young people aren’t motivated. You guys rock and make ‘‘em eat crow’’. I’ve been building and riding bikes since the sixties . Awesome to see art and engineering being built by two fine looking human beings.

Very entertaining. My hats off to you two on showing us all that even a backyard hack with only a vise, soldering iron, and a Drama tool can change the look of their old motorcycle. Even if it doesn't look like a professional build, they can be proud of their accomplishment.

Cafe racers are my dream bikes. I was in a bike acident a few years back ..almost died..but now I'm back but I'm a fan of the light weight and elegance of a cafe racer and I like the flat seats alot have it helps with my injuries to be able to change my ass position occasionally

If they painted the brake calipers gold to match the front suspension and a few other small parts i think that would have really set it off but I could be way off. Anybody else think that would be a good idea? It turned out to be a truly elegant piece of machinery, great job. That's something to be proud of that's for sure.

Sorry , I have to say, you forgot to install the small pin during the assembly of the starter motor, now the starter will twist around the body and loose the power because it will not be in alignment with the magnetic field of the permanent magnet of the stator. Look the video again, time 21.57 , it remains from your left side on the working bench! Fix it! best regards!

Just watched this in 2x... Its great how quick you built this! hahaha... Oh and ignore the haters... 1-This is YOUR project and you did this YOUR WAY (each has their own vision and own opinions) and 2-Bikers are brothers (and sisters) it doesn't matter what you ride, we all have to deal with the same problems, car/van/truck/bus drivers, road conditions and weather. Hate another biker, you lose all respect from other bikers is my view.

@motow19

@Alister Flower there is plenty of clearance to lean around most corners as these 40 year old bikes top speeds aren’t as fast as modern bikes unless taking it to a track would make things risky but not the case👍👍. Thanks!!!

Hi Guys! Great job! The bike is super nice! I'd like to ask how did you find this exhaust? Did you build it yourself from scratch? If yes, can you build one for me? I have a 1982 XV920 and I need an exhaust. Another question. I’ve noticed that you are using an M-Unit in your construction. How easy is to insert it on the old bike? Did you replace the rectifier/regulator and ignition coils too? Did you rebuild the whole harness?
@motow19
3 жыл бұрын
@Aldo Bega thank you!! Look for Spyramoto on Insta he builds the best pipes for these bikes in my opinion and yes the Munit is the way to go we made a complete new harness and had to use ricks rectifier for lithium battery and we used original coils. So links for harness diagram and other parts are in the description. Thanks!!!
