Thank you for the comment. The reason opening up the air box is to let more air goes in so EFI can shoot more gas. If your muffler is stock then just simply opening up te airbox is enough, means easy to in but hard to out. If you chenge the muffler with airbox modification, AI will get in the way because it makes sound of backfire. If you do this all then EFI wouldn't add enough gas to help more power so you might want to install EFI controller to add more gas. hope I explain ok with my English.

Yes I have ridden a YZ250F. I think YZ250F is much better for everything on riding at offroad. Much lighter, much powerfull, but the reason I chose this bike was for much more durability than YZF. and also I don't have to worry about jetting at any where.

Thank you, I had almost given up looking for a demonstration of the WR250R where 1) Someone could video the bike in action - helmet cams mostly only show trees passing by, not the bike in action they are better for street riding. 2) Someone wasn't afraid to actually "Kick it old school" on the throttle. and 3) 1:43 of pure bike audio and action by someone demonstrating what he and the bike were capable of together, not 7 minutes endless talking. Thumbs up.

@SORA2028 WR250R is a true motorbike ! EXC 450 is just a racing toy ! Two different kinds of bikes! If you want to ride everywhere (road, offroad) , everyday - buy WR250R. If you need a bike for hardcore fun (jumping etc.) and ONLY for fun (and after fun put bike on the trailer and drive by car to the service) - buy EXC 450.

The top speed as standard shuld go up to around 90mph. maybe little more, it depends on winds too. I set the lower gearing so my WRR much slower than standard on top speed.

Good riding, awesome, awesome bike. The thing is, this bike can do this and go 6000km between oil changes, 40,000km between valve clearance checks. I've ridden mine on 2000km trips which include freeway stretches of hundreds of km at 110km/h... getting 3l/100km (70mpg). It's just a beautiful motor and design, it's more than an enduro

YZ250F is much better for everything on riding at offroad. Much lighter, much powerfull, has good suspensions but the reason I chose this bike was for much more durability than YZF. and also I don't have to worry about jetting at any where. YZF and WRR both can be able to go 80mph but WRR is more reliable fo long distance.

This is 2008 WR250R. you have to take off the bunch of stuff out to make it run properly. YZ250F is a racer model, WR250R is for the street and trail riding YZ250F would give you much more performance on dirt riding I think. But ,WR250R has more Durability

@SORA2028 KTM is realy nice bike. They got power, good suspensions good handling. Its good bike to ride hard as in competition. WR250R is not fast and doesn't have good suspension like racing bike. WR250R is not competition bike. So I think it depends on what situation you would ride most. I have heard many major failure on KTM bikes but if you think you can afford to fix them, I recomend to chose ktm. If you want relief and not too much worry about long distance ride, maybe WR250R. Good luck!
