Yamas and Niyamas: Yogic teachings for the times
The Yamas and Niyamas are yogic teachings, found in the Yoga Sutras, a set of yogic teachings transcribed by Patanjali. They are the first two limbs of the Ashtanga, the eight fold path of Yoga that describes the nature of a being in a state of Yoga (union). The Yamas and Niyamas are often considered a set of ethical codes in which to live by, or a map to guide you on the journey of life, in a way that deeply honours and respects the self and others. Simply relax and tune in with your intuitive, sensing self, and allow your inner wisdom to integrate and open up to the Yamas and Niyamas that will support you at this time.
