I listen to you prop shaping. We have a class here UIM P750 50HP Yamaha or Tohatsu 3 cylinder Pencil Inflatable boat. I bought a 2 nd hand 16 pitch 3 blade. Nice prop. 78kmh I spend some time on it shape by hand the leading edge and the trailing eding test it and got max 82kmh. Then one day I span the prop on engine and something my eye see! I decided Il fix this prop and change it cant loss nothing. Put Straight propshaft in Lathe. Slide prop over shaft lock the prop nut. Start cutting the OD til all three blades cut true it was 6.3mm out tip to tip. Cut the exhaust hub straight and little bit shorter. It was 2.7mm out! Cut the trailing edge til all 3 blades touch the cutter. It was 3mm out! 15° cut half the blade in to hub "Texas cut" Then cut all the leading edges clean and True. Turn the prop around and cut the front exhaust hub OD and ID straight. To balance the dynamic shape dimensions. Gave the trailing edge a nice cup 70% from hub out to blade tip the last 30% no cup to avoid Cavitation. On first test day 92kmh Changing setup trim and bullet up til it hit 102kmh.!! And it can turn hard and can go fast in the Rough conditions it byte great.

Back in the 60's I had a 10hp Hurricane on an 8' Neal Craft Hydro with a brass 2 blade Michigan wheel and it was a blast to drive...! Now I have 680 hp in a 22 velocity that hits 92 and thats a lot of fun too...! Check it out on my channel..!!

I've been rebuilding a y80 and also live in East Texas. Looking for more people that are into outboard racing, and possibly buy a used hull from someone.

@@stevenfrazier3619 steven a hydro is definitely more stable. I can help you with the y80. Do u have a prop for it? The thing that will help you the most is a crew. You need one great pit man or two willing to learn.

@@rustysitton9574 I have a 17 year old nephew that's willing to learn and help, probably race in the future. Im getting the stock exhaust in today, and I don't have a stock carb, so I bought a 34mm flat slide and intake parts to configure it to work. I do have a prop, a Hopkins prop built for the McKeans. I believe engine was setup mod, I've just been trying to get it to run. New rings and seals and gaskets, have six sheer pins as well.
