I am new to the word of knitting/crocheting and working with yarn and honestly, I am just so tickled by the jargon. I love that it's called a "cake" and all the yarn falling out of the middle is "yarn barf" 😂 I think I'm going to like it here.

I’m excited about the velluxe jumbo. I bought some bernat chunky velvet blanket yarn to make a stuffed animal and was really sort of disappointed at the construction of the yarn. It was a thin cotton core with chenille/velvet fluffs tangled into it. It wasn’t particularly easy to crochet with, but it seems like velluxe jumbo solves all of the problems I had with the bernat one.

Organic is more expensive. The production needs more care. So worth it though. Drops and Sostrere Greene is a big brand in Northern Europe, their eco yarn is cheaper. The 50g eco cotton is only around €2,- in stunning colours. They even carry recycled yarn. Could it be the bubble and velvet yarn is more suited for knitting? Loved the last review. What a huge work of art that yarn will give. Thanks for the review, Toni.

Great review. Now let's be honest with ourselves: novelty yarns are usually designed for knitters. I appreciate your courage to try to crochet with some of those crazy yarns... I agree with the previous post that said Lion Brand should hire you; they should definitely work with a crochet designer to develop some great yarns that are fun to crochet with. Definitely the last yarn in the review would be fun to work with for a funky pillow in a teen's bedroom.
