Actually this is also our own version of baby shower " born house" for twins. In my mother's homeland it's a sight to see. The women and men all decked in their traditional regalia. Dancing majestically to the beats. I just love it. Been ages since I went to my mother's country. Thank you Anye. Meya .

It is a dance associated to a Bamileke ceremony called Nsi ( literally, Nsi means God). The ceremony is strangely similar to what is described in Exodus 12. The Nsi ceremony is still celebrated in many parts of the Big West in Cameroon; including Dschang, some areas of North West and South West.

I can’t agree less but I will like to affirm to you that is dance is a ceremonial dance that is use to honour twins in the north west. This is like an appeasement song of royalty give to this special children. It is mostly sang by the villages within mezam.

Sorry for my incomplete response been distracted with getting the technics of the production right and promise detail info will certainly be coming to u sooner Its typically sang to appease twins or those who were born before/after them. During such a ceremony, every body Sing/Dance, taste Salt and Palm Oil using two fingers from each hand, then Food/Drinks are shared It transcends religious boundaries. Common within the Ngemba tribes in the Grass-fields of the North West Region of Cameroon

Adelslim1, the question about subtitles etc was posted by a young Cameroonian (anarchyliberty ) who did not grow up at home and wanted to know about his country. Anye Forti responded kindly. You on the other hand had no business responding negatively to a question that was not directed at you, and without knowing the background of the person who wanted this information. No wonder young Cameroonians in diaspora get discouraged about getting involved with their folks.
