My mind's eye kept imagining this huge cardboard and paper slap heap off to the sides, off camera!!! You were really *manhandling* those games!!! :o I actually winced as I heard Smolensk hit the floor!

Great work! Loved seeing Afrika Corps-the original was the second game I ever played. I second being impressed by your efforts for Wagram.

Re: War in the Pacific... how do you think this compares with Empire of the Sun (which I think is considered top dog in this strategic Pacific level)?

WiP is more abstract, I think. While it does have cards, it is not a CDG as is EotS. Both games emphasize the player, so they have that in common. But WiP is quite simple and intended to play pretty quickly; an more of an effect game as opposed to a simulation game (if that makes any sense).

Can't help feeling that "The Household" at Marshall Enterprises have some nerve putting multi-map monsters in plain white boxes... and put the onus on the players to print out the rule book(s)... who do they think they are, the Beatles???? :)

Very nice video. How much have you been paying for the printing?

Depends on the size of the print. Anywhere from 20 USD to 60 USD. Not inexpensive, but decent quality...

My hat's off to you for attempt at doing a Pub Battles version of Wagram. I'd love to see it set up and played. I've been interested in making some block games too using more rectangular pieces instead of the usual Columbia Games squares. What kind of wood did you use to make your pieces? I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll play this year.

3/8 inch Poplar dowel rods (a lot of them). Inexpensive, but also the closest feel to the real components from the publisher.
