It's not only the insane camera work. It's the editing too. Lots of Yehuda-looks-at-and-explains-code without us viewers actually looking at the code.

I appreciate your work. A serious artist knows what programming is all about and how much we should reduce efforts of coders. Great work.

The camerawork makes this unwatchable...love Yehuda and his work, but the hell are the audio/visual guys doing?!?!

Okay so I assumed the complaints about camera work were just nit picking. No. This is just ridiculous.

Great talk, but what's was with the camera angles and mad zooming?

My first thought after just seeing the title of the video was "Yeah, Linux and Vim and Programming in general are hard too; but still worth learning. Some of the easier stuff I've learned was very unsatisfying (PHP, Windows, etc)."

+1 camera work. the audio stops being bad at around 5-6m in. i found it was entirely tolerable to just listen in the background instead of watching.

Rails would seem hard to people who, in 2012, waste their time on pink flying-unicorn cutouts, but record their talks in standard definition (with interlacing artifacts, I believe), broken audio, and horrendous camera management.

Love the tension created by the big unicorn stage right and the quote from Donald (Iraqi WMDs, Pentagons missing trillions 9/10/01) Rumsfeld... Great talk!

Nice talk but i'd do a better job filming by holding the cam with my feet in a handstand position.

wouldn't say it *ruined* the presentation per se, but it was really annoying. it's like whoever was in charge was doing the equivalent of a sound check or learning how to use a camera.
