I was born in 1989 but I remember this only because my parents had recorded a film off itv or C4, including the ad breaks. I’ve forgot what the film was but I remember this being one of the ads

Yeah definitely. OK so they're more short and to the point now, but people are more likely to go and make a cup of tea than watch the ads on TV, because we get all our advertising from the Internet now.

As a French Polisher back in the 80's after this ad came out I would to get at least one phone call every month during holiday season, a young voice would gingerly ask how much to repolish a table, after giving them the price and time scale the phone would just go dead.

I came across this, due to seeing, they are no longer issuing the yellow pages from 2018 and watching the JR Hartley classic. Spotted Max Branning, but didn't remember him in it, until watching it now. He also looked that that, in an episode of Minder.
