I have just purchased this watch and I also have the prx 40mm, green waffle dial. The Yema urban traveller white dial in my eyes is better quality for the price. I paid $801 out the door for the Yema and $760 for the prx with tax. I do agree the band should be tapered more like the prx. My prx band has already been dented from everyday use😢, the 80 hour power reserve is nice but after wearing the Yema for about a week I am going to sell my prx and use the funds to get the CW 12 because they have similar case dimensions, size, dial design. Just can’t decide on the color. Either grey or ice blue. For the Yema it’s the unique case shape, dial design, and that it is 100% brushed and only alil polish. I got the watch in less then 5 days from France which was awesome. Got a lil travel case and a really cool hat as well. Overall I like the watch and in my opinion a great value compared to the prx. It’s going to be my new daily wear with my seiko alpinist and 38mm Hamilton Murph. I also own a Visitor Duneshore, Oris(big crown) 40mm date point, Tutor black bay heritage 41mm, Sinn Navigator 903 St, Longines heritage diver and a Hamilton intra Matic panda. Not saying this is the best watch out there but I am satisfied with my purchase and compared to my other watches the value is really good. Can’t wait to get the CW 12!

I've obsessing over this for weeks, aren't you afraid to dent your expensive watches now? It's so fragile, it baffles that even a 50,000 dollar watch can get damaged or destroyed from one drop or bump against the wall ...

I agree and Jory from the time teller just claimed that it is the “dark ages” of watches. I completely disagree. It’s a golden era, you can buy anything you want for 2,000.00 or less from independents and micro brands. If you want value in luxury look no further than Tudor, oris, grand Seiko, even omega. Plus the lesser known brands like D Dornbluth, nomos, CW, Damasko etc…

I wouldn't be so sure that the qa/qc issues will be resolved in full production. My Yema 63 heritage had to go back to france 3 times because the lume kept falling off of the applied indices. Thankfully, at least, it has a sellita movement. No way I'd trust an "in house" movement from them. Their marketing department is far more skilled than their watchmakers.

It's always difficult to value a watch when a pre-production version is sent where there are obvious points of attention. Especially if it wasn't associated with a comprehensive list of the improvements planned, how is one to judge the product accurately beyond a general sense of design and dimensions. What I take from your analysis and footage is that the case, bracelet, and crystal are well put together, but many other aspects could benefit from some form of refinement or development. Including, the articulation on the endlinks, which both extend too far and look a little uncomfortable. Only the second link drops right down, whereas in an ideal world they might apply to the first (endlink), especially if the lug to lug is already at 48mm. Personally, I like the intricate pattern on the dial, but am not won over by the execution. The printing execution is subpar. The textured area of the dial is smaller than the visible portion of the dial, so there is a sliver of flat dial before the rehaut. The pinion finishing is one of those unfavourable examples. The crown looks to be finished to such a different level of care that it is almost as if it's a different material altogether. And then there are design choices that I doubt, such as the lume colour vs. the white second hand. The thickness of the case. The slight gap where the recessed portions border the main (top) bezel. Indeed, the taper on the bracelet, which is a smidgen too slight. The variable execution of the centre portion of the hand stack: it does not succesfully match the finish texture of the dial, so that portion of the hands does not successfully 'disappear', while the brushed silver on the white does not add much contrast nor visual interest. Finally, is there still discussion about how 'in-house' Yema's in-house movements are? Don't get me wrong, I actually like several Yema pieces (some good divers, not my genre, but worth mentioning!), but this one as it stands I think leaves quite a bit to be desired and the grapevine on QC issues isn't too confidence inspiring either.
