I have an HW340 New Holland. I bought it making that noise. Common problem on early ones. Had to replace fly wheel and all three gears. They told me there was a recall and I ordered a kit. It all came in one box. I also had to replace one shaft. It's a real tight fit, but I left the pumps hang. Enjoy!

The usual way to plumb a loader into anything with a CCLS pump is through a ‘Power-beyond’ kit to a dedicated closed centre remote valve with either a Bowden cable control or, ideally, an electric valve with joystick. The power-beyond slice goes to three pipes feeding the loader spool valve. A flow line. A tank/return line. Plus a smaller sensing line which controls the tractor’s swash-plate CCLS pump. The sensing line, like the other two, is not directly plumbed to the pump, but to the bank of couplers at the back of the tractor, near the QR couplings. The couplers might bepermanently plumbed, or have QR couplings, or might be tee’d off behind the QR couplers so that the system could be used with implements requiring power-beyond as well as the loader

We have alot of that hemlock here on the north coast of California. Bred cattle abort constantly and birth defects are a problem. Use to spray it, switched to organic milk production. Now mow it disk it and replant hoping to drown it out. Stuffs nasty. We dont bale or chop those fields just graze, they'll eat everything but hemlock. We start feeding hay and silage if they start eating it

Assuming it's the same hemlock we have here(water hemlock/poison parsnip) and it sure looks like it, who ever told you that is full of shit. They have a tuber like root that is toxic as hell. Big plants like that don't have the poison content in the stalk and leaves that little ones do but still bad medicine. The saving grace is that apparently it isnt very palatable so animals wont eat it when it gets tall. But when it's small they will eat it along with grass while grazing. A bite wont kill a cow, but if its in marshy conditions and they pull and eat the root you will find the animal the next day about 40 feet from where they ate it. It is nasty stuff. But 2-4D takes care of it nicely. I'd spray the whole area about 2 weeks after you pull the hay off. Thay should take care of most of it providing it hasn't already went to seed.

The entire poisonous hemlock (conium maculatum) is poisonous - look it up for yourself before you make sweeping statements or you'll look like you're "full of shit." Buckhorn Cortez Buckhorn Cortez I am not sure where the breakdown in communication happened. I thought I was clear with my post and still do, however I am running on a lack of sleep so I may be wrong and will apologize if that is the case. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that by your language and the fact you used the Latin name for the plant you are educated and not a keyboard ninja. Please re read my comment and you will see that the one I was calling full of shit was whoever told Mr Pandy that the roots were not poisonous. I never once said any part of the plant was not toxic, much to the contrary. So thank you for backing me up on that. I may not have been clear with my statement that larger ones are not as toxic. However did say they were bad medicine which I assumed people would take to mean that they were still poison.I should have said that mature plants that are flowering do not have the toxicity in their stems and leaves that an immature plant would. I was told this by a botanist that I did trust and took him at his word. Furthermore I will attest to the fact from personal experiance that if a mature cow does indeed eat some with a single bite while grazing and that is mixed in with all the other vegetation in its rumen it will likely not die. The proof is scattered around all farms in this area where the tops have been eaten off of plants.

Head and block were perfect and still aren't bad, but she blew on #4 anyways. Hope you manage to get the Case fixed quickly, it did sound like something in the flywheel area though didn't it. I'll say I hope it's the pump or something in that drive assembly. New Holland/Case will comp you part if not all of the price on a pump if that one is defective. That's a cheap fix relatively speaking. The fact that the header goes up and down and all that fun stuff I'm inclined to think your noise is something in the motor itself unless the pump is coming apart inside and just happens to make pressure for the header portion still (unlikely but I guess possible). I'm hoping for you it's the pump, but that sounds like the motor at least through my speakers. If it's the motor get through your season with the self propelled John Deere, the Gehl pull behind, and the New Holland batwing mower and then after the dust settles figure out what you're gonna do with the old girl. If you plan to get rid of it the core question becomes is the machine worth more dead or alive if you do send it down the road? You're knocking the machine, but it isn't the machines fault on this one. We get it you're frustrated because you just put a bunch of time and money into the machine to break it again. If memory serves correct that machine has actually done pretty well for you considering it's age and the number of hours/acres you've run through it.

As the growing season progresses it becomes very toxic about the time it goes to seed. If you catch it right when the animals get sick you need to give them a good dose of activated charcoal and you could save some of them. If you start engine while moving steering it broke hyd pump
