Carl G Jung would agree. The internal & external, the soul & nature connect & intersect & are one. The outer land is ones inner shamanic land. I agree we make & carve & water our own Runes in the timbers of our Wýrd & Tree. I've seen it said Yggdrasil is called Minameith by Giants & is called Lærád for humans.

Great video man. The placenta also looks like the world tree, which tells us that we might also have come out of Yggdrasil

The Irish also have a world tree. In Irish mythology it is a hazel tree and it grows in the realm of eternal light Tír na nÓg which is the home of the irish gods called the Tuatha Dé Danann. At the base of that tree is a well and a stream of water that comes from that well connects the three realms. The Tuatha Dé Danann inhabit the upper realm, humans inhabit the middle realm and the Fomorians inhabit the underworld. On the night of Samhain (Halloween) the three realms come into alignment.

This concept being that Yggdrasil is inside of us...is one I've considered for a long time... I also consider epigenetics to be part of one's orlog...or what the norms weave as a persons wyrd...I am interested in hearing more about your views

I practice seidr. In seidr it’s basically a given that you can travel along yggdrasil. Meaning that yggdrasil is your spine. But your staff is also your spine and therefore also yggdrasil. I wanted to make a video about yggdrasil being inside of us, without just saying: Well thats just how it is. I wanted to make a rational case for it. So that people who have no experience with trusting the insights from self induced hypnotic states, could also see things in a more “shamanic” way. Epigenetics being your orlog Thats very interesting and i will think about this

Oh, and just watching it again: I appreciate what you said about looking in the mirror when trying to find an indigenous person. I feel like the 🤚🏻people in the Western world has forgotten that they were indigenous, once, somewhere... we can reclaim our traditions, mythology and spiritual practices from the pre-Roman colonization era to empower ourselves again.

Another well made video, thank you! You articulated the ideas brilliantly. I don't know why it never occurred to me to compare the Tree of Life with Yggdrasil, seems so obvious now you mention it! 😁 That's the great thing about KZitem: we can share insights and ideas so easily and all over the world. 🇿🇦🙌🏻🇱🇺 Oh, and stunning location, as ever! 👌🏻

Thank you And 90% of locations where i shoot are in our garden ( at the edge ) or within 1km of where i live. Mostly because i don’t have a lott of time at the moment. Will do some video’s at other nice locations in the next year though.

Love hearing your thoughts on things like this! Seeing Yggdrasil as a methaphor like this can be helpful in understanding different parts of the self. Especially the last part, about Yggrdasils connections, was interesting. It therefore seems as if Yggdrasil isn't just connected to _everything_ but it is also connected to _everywhere_ and _everywhen_ . Think about that for a change!
