Great review. I was looking at a CZ Drake or CZ Teal. Found the Yildiz Legecy HD and felt felt the quality, and fit to be tremendous. Giving to my daughter to start shooting clays with dad.

Excellent video, based on the data you provided I purchased the Yildiz Legacy HPS20. The S after the HP stands for steel receiver in lieu of an aluminum receiver. I paid $569 for the shotgun. I thought the extra $69 was worth having steel receiver. I believe that everything else on the shotgun I bought is the same as what's on your video. I look forward to using it for the first time. If it were not for your excellent video, I probably would not have bought a shotgun. Thank you again.

I bought a 12 gauge Yildiz Sporter for $700 at about the same time. Like yours, it has great wood and works just fine. It also has an adjustible comb. My trigger is lighter than most of my other shotguns, and since it is a little over 8 pounds, I find it perfect for trap (I use a Tristar Sporter for skeet -- I like the Turkish guns).

Really hard to beat regardless of the price. I still love mine and it has worked flawlessly.

SPZ stands for superpoze. The name coming from the old browning superposed. All over and unders are called superpoze in Turkey. Yıldız, Dickinson ( Akdaş and akus here) and cz (huglu here) make wonderful over and unders. They are really good guns

The Legacy HP has the aluminum alloy receiver not stainless. The Legacy HPS has the stainless receiver. About a $70 price difference between the HP and the HPS. BTW the Lineage (the black one) also has the aluminum alloy receiver.

Very well done. I just picked this exact model up today (05/12/2021). Academy has their 1st Responder discount going on now, so it was an additional 10% off. 467 OTD. I rubbed some oil into the stock to help protect it. I'm very impressed for what it is.

I just bought one today. I couldn't find any information either. Seems like they're making special models for academy not available elsewhere. I'm glad i spent the extra money over the black one or the base model. The nicer engraving and external chokes, plus the better sights made it a no brainier. Now to figure out how to manage making it till Wednesday when the range opens again. (It's Sunday).

The biggest problem Academy does not ship guns. If l wanted one l would have to get on a plane to Texas. For all the cost and hassle you could get a Browning.

Not to be a knit picker, but the receiver is stainless color, not constructed of stainless. Yours appears to be a aluminum alloy receiver. If you look at the front of the receiver without the barrels installed you will probably will see a steel insert on the receiver face. If by chance there is no insert you then have a street receiver. Great informative video and you have a great looking gun! Your lucky, as I can purchase a Yildiz, Academy only sells in their stores. No online sales. Have tried for over a year to buy online one of their .410 double barrel shotguns here in Arizona.

The HP is an aluminum reciever. They do make an HPS that is steel. The HPS is a little more expensive.

Careful... it's a alloy action.. dont over use it. And preferably no bigger than 28g cartridge.. they are a nice gun, but just be careful..

Do you recommend a 12 gauge or 20 gauge for skeet? I use a 12 gauge now for trap, looking for a o/u for skeet. My 12 gauge is a Mossberg 930 sporting.

Either one works great. It’s like 50/50 for people. I would say if you already have a 12 gauge, get the 20 and you have both. The 20 is fun to shoot as there is less recoil.

I e always used a 12g until this. I like this a bit more. Lighter and more control. I don’t feel the 20g is any less in the way of hitting targets

Does this model have ejectors or extractors? 1 answer Chris_Product Development · All Yildiz Over and Unders come with ejectors, not extractors.

I think that’s normal. You end up putting a different one in each barrel. Like Improved in the top and Modified in the bottom. It’s worked well for me doing that.

Don’t know how you can do a honest review until you have shot the gun for a year at least. All guns look great when first unboxing . Run a thousand rounds through it first.

Well the good news is I probably have that many rounds through it now. It is my go-to for sporting clays and dove hunting. I still recommend!
