The further you are from your target the higher you have to aim. You mentioned and you move farther away you aim lower. If what you say is true than the bullets will strike or shoot low. You have to aim higher at farther distance to accommodate bullet drop.

The barrel has a slightly tilt up not parallel with the sight and bullet will go up first before dropping. And he is compensating the bullet trajectory after it traveling up after met the 1st line of sight intersection about 10 meters. He was done it right. And bullet will drop after its met a highest point, after that point you have to aim higher to compensate bullet drop. You can research for yourself about bullet trajectory. Ps.
