People like Yo-yo Ma and what they offer to the world are a testament to the beauty in Creation and God's gift of music. "Bach gave us God's word. Mozart gave us God's laughter. Beethoven gave us God's fire. God gave us Music that we might pray without words." This is such simple music by both Bach and Gounod, but so incredible nonetheless. We're so lucky to live in a world where we can listen to music like this with a few simple clicks of a little desktop device.

Yo Yo's sound is just so amazing. My wife wonders what I'm doing on the internet at night: Falling asleep being relaxed by Yo Yo Ma! Over and over and over again. There might be some Hauser, Roy & Rosemary, 2Cellos and The Piano Guys in there as well. However Yo Yo makes it all look so smooth and easy. There is a short street in downtown Toronto by the harbour front named after him.

No, it is as easy as it looks. If you want to play at a regular level, that is. Getting the interpretation up to THIS standard is something you might spend years doing, and for many people is outright impossible or lifetime task. But yes, it is "easy" to "play" if you mean getting all the notes right. Still, you can get a pretty decent product with a couple months of practice!

It so cleanses the soul that you feel refresh and tranquil. You simply cannot resist the awe that music brings to you. I listened to it at least eight times in a row. Beautiful sound, very moving. The video is interesting. For me, both Kathryn's and YoYo's expressions seem to say "I have such a wonderful memory of playing this with ----". In contrast, at 1:57, YoYo glances over at Kathryn with a warm smile, a touching moment that reminds us they are having a conversation, not just a memory. For me, music is theater, more than just an audio recording. Staging is important. You don't turn your back to someone when you're having a conversation with them. Turning the piano a little counter-clockwise and the cello a bit clockwise would compliment their beautiful conversation.

Beautiful playing, YoYo Ma. Even though I am playing this song on the violin, the sound of your cello compared to the violinists is so much richer. Thank you for bringing peace, beauty, and amazing playing to this planet earth.

When (For Whom the Bell Tolls), such as a gift is born to any human being, it forges an access, a key that opens a formula in humanity, an innate understandings that can bring the possibilities of connecting everyone in a way to journey to a world of beauty, knowledge and feelings it brings by forming a web of nexus connections engaging the minds of everyone to the beauty, power and humanity of these gifts as they become a part of everyone around us, - to everyone who truly wants to know, to believe, the point that it becomes evidence of a knowable tangibility appearing on the faces of people who acknowledge the knowledge, experience the gift in its form through the changes they ignite in our lives as we truly try to understand to the point where a meeting of the minds concedes and words are no longer necessary. The next time you are setting in church or a concert where the singer has reached the audience; look upon their faces. A few experience for me when I am in awe of another's gift is when I read, watch and listen too - (:Mirusia Louwerse singing in Latin the song Ave Maria, or Nina Simone Don't Let me be Misunderstood, Or when I read poetry- And Death Shall Have No Dominion, by Dylan Thomas', Hero and Leander by Christopher Marlowe, or reading Ernest Hemingway:) Also, listening to music by Don McLean, Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, or, admire, try to understand art by David, Michelangelo, Picasso, Da Vinci, and so much more). And in those few moments it seems, when you are engrossed in the song, movie, book, art, or a beautiful day in the great outdoors, it seems as though, time does not exist. Everyone, I'm sure has their list, "A Movable Feast" of art in many forms that move them. (For Whom The Bell Tolls- Written by Ernest Hemingway 1940 - A Movable Feast written by Ernest Hemingway, 1964)

At the end of the day we learned about him in class and how he went to Harvard University and valued his education as much as he valued music 🎼 Then people started shouting out “I HAVE TO GO SEARCH HIM UP ” 😂 It was really cool! 💫
