Learn anatomical terms with me ~ and apply them to yoga poses!
This lesson is a live excerpt where I teach a part of the anatomy section from my 200-hour teacher training program. (And if you're an educator you can purchase the student handout, presentation, and trainer notes that I use here to teach this curriculum yourself).
Learning the language of anatomy gives us a common framework for discussing movement, which sets us up for understanding alignment and sequencing.
Learning Objectives:
After this lesson, you will be able to:
- Describe three reasons that understanding anatomical language is helpful to yoga teachers
- Demonstrate anatomical position.
- Perform and identify the movements that are possible in the three planes.
