Hi Rebecca, loved your holiday trip, interesting about the farms and how difficult it is especially with the home deliveries folks use and large supermarkets, eggs from chickens that can be seen are much more appealing. Hardwick hall looks a great place to visit. What a walk you had by being cut off by the tide, I bet that cup of tea went down well. Thanks for that, really enjoyable and we were laughing along with you x

Waiting for your next video, too! What about 3 meals based on a whole cabbage, as people would do with gluts Or 3 meals from a whole pumpkin. Plus extras from rations... Maybe pumpkin scones? for a sweet dish. Pumpkin soup made with roasted pumpkin has a far richer flavour. Maybe a roast veg soup? Or 3 things with your imaginary glut of silverbeet. Are there stinging nettles near you? Not where passers by or dogs might wee on them. Lol Do a nettle and other stuff soup or use nettles for green veg with cheese and pumpkin, in a pastry. Of course, onion with most of these ideas would be extra yum, but they were often so rare, people got an onion for a wedding present or Xmas. :- ( Or do a Rebecca and try to make FOUR types of biscuits that are different and cheering, from same basic biscuit dough.

@@thekitchenscrap Already found and watched. If only I could pay cash through phone - just passing it to you, and you could pass me a hot bowl of that soup. I was drooling. I just cannot get organised to cook - or anything else at the moment. In a bit of pain and feeling low. I would have bought half, if I could - and you would have had the money to make all of it again on the profits! Even better for the budget!

Really enjoyed your trip round Hardwicke Hall, fascinating stuff. Love Tudor history, any history in fact. Hope you had a great holiday. We have hens, took your advice, got 4, so they don't run out of friends!😊🎉

So glad you sound so happy and had a great break. I think I need a new hobby. I sat through the last video 4 times, because there was nothing new. That is plain sad. So envious of your trip to Hardwick Hall. Can we have a cook session, your knitter knatter and something in the garden or a charity haul review? I wonder if that lady in the farm shop would take on 4 dogs needing holidays? That can pay well. And if they are near a good sized town, people pay good money, sometimes daily, to have private use of an acre paddock, to exercise reactive or newly operated on dogs. Just have to have good fences. People book half or full hours. And some places have days and early evenings booked out. Including weekends. I have told about 6 ladies who knit, to visit your videos.

Lovely video 😊 looks like you had a great time. Love Hardwick Hall, so so interesting, definitely need to visit again as it looks like I missed bits 😊 I recommend Calke Abbey, if you haven't already been, that's a really interesting place too. Not far to get to either. Take care x

Maybe in the spirit of rationing, use boiled cotton or hessian string which you would get from your parcels and save.
