yoru ni kakeru directly translates to running or "racing" into the night. It is a different language.

@@JayKay2025.(this is all a joke) Being the Japanese learner myself 😜 the “ni” is a particle used to refer to the location of the destination in a sort of process with the verb. For the statement “yoru ni kakeru”, “yoru” means night, and “kakeru” means racing. With Japanese’s word order being SOV, the translation of “yoru ni kakeru” means “racing to night”, or “racing into the night”.
