I like your style. Beautifully played. Subtle, with feeling. We sang this song a lot for our daughtter when she was little. And you're bringing a small tear to my eye. I think this is the sweetest version I've ever heard. And the bridge is lovely and fits really well. I'm just taking my first little baby steps on the clawhammer banjo. But when I get better I'll definitely nick this one from you ; ). Thank you.

Lovely arrangement! Thanks for sharing. I saw in previous comments and replies that this is double C tuning and it looks like you have your capo at the 4th fret. So all the strings are tuned two steps up then and the 5th string to B? Is that correct? I don't have capo spikes but I can get some and install them. Does this have to be played with a capo spike for the 5th string and at what fret? Thanks!
@tgp4871
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I would say you need capo spikes *if* you want it to sound exactly like this, since tuning the 5th string up to a B is a bit much. I played it with the fifth string under the capo spike on the ninth fret for this, and the regular capo on the 4th, in gCGCD tuning (as in tuned to gCGCD without any capos on). If you don't have that option, I reckon you can tune the 5th string either down to an E or up to a G# to have the third be the drone instead of the fifth. Could sound cool! :)
