Thank you so much man. It’s been quite the ride so far… saw you and KT at Ashtons court briefly the other weekend - looks like you were having a blast!

Congratulations on 500 days. The journaling and talking out aloud is an underrated effective therapy.

I was just wondering when you were going to post! Good to see you buddy. All my kids love to find a way to remove their responsibility from any accidents, of which there are many around here.

Hahaha - yep, it’s been a while - I couldn’t post any videos because my son had the lead I needed to charge my camera battery, so - you know - it’s not MY fault :-)

Very similar to my go-to quote about this which I love - “The cave you fear holds the treasure you seek.” Joseph Campbell. Also, where was this run? Looks great!

Oh God - Joseph Campbell - my hero (no pun intended!!) - I love that quote and it’s a new one to me, thanks Matt!! It’s court woods in Clevedon - it’s a lush run! Lots of routes to get lost in!

Another great video mate and couldn’t agree more, it’s evident in the way that you communicate deep complex topics about the self that you’ve overcome great problems. It’s very authentic and inspiring, keep up the great work, keep up the great videos and a massive congrats on 500 days my friend 🤘

Thank you mate - like anything for me - it’s born from a place of self confidence and how I deal with that - I want to know as much as I can about anything and everything - especially myself - and over the last 4 years I’ve learned a lot about myself. Each of these videos is really a voice note to myself. You know what they say (another bloody quote, sorry…) ‘If you want to learn something, read it - if you want to understand something - do it - if you want to master something - teach it’

@@1stElement it resonates a lot mate, learning about the self is, in my opinion is one of the greatest pursuits someone can go after and one that never end. Some people never find it, but any shred of positive outlook I have (regardless of how shit things may be) came from a desire to learn. Haha I’ve heard you say that one a few times, but I love a good quote! As it turns out people have lived life before and figured most of this stuff out, and put it into better words than we can ourselves most of the time 😂 so why not borrow their knowledge and they left it for us right ?!

@MitchelLucas oh god - 100% - thank god there are people out there that have this down better than me (us)!! Imagine if they weren’t…! And yep - taking myself on has made me far less judgemental of others… and calmer… the desire to learn? I think that’s a gift, man. I really do.

500 days ❤ While I dont know what 75 hard consists of (I'll look it up) but Im loving the "fix your own problems". I first came across it as a quote from Jenny Tough in her book, solo. Ive been sure to keep it in my mind, along with "watch your thoughts" from your last video 😊 I have a personal / private problem I'm working on, so right...75 days effort on my "thing". Here goes!

Oh I don’t know Jenny Tough - but that could be your nickname!! Good for you Jenny - thinking on stuff, being honest without self first and foremost - I swear to god it’s a superpower…

@1stElement Jenny Tough is awsome 🥰 She completed a global challenge in 2021 to run, solo and unsupported, across a mountain range on every continent, including three world-first traverses. Also competes in a lot of ultra bikepacking races, first woman in the Silk Road Mountain Race and first woman in the inaugural Atlas Mountain Race. One tough (lol) cookie

75 hard that’s some serious stuff, you can do it though. I agree accountability is huge and most people can’t change until they hit rock bottom, congratulations on 500 days my friend.

75 hard feels like every normal day for us triathletes though..! The issue is consistency of EVERY day though… oh and the gallon of water - a GALLON..???

But yep - sorry… also, I listen to some people and just think ‘can you hear yourself..?!’ - take some responsibility… scratch that - take ALL the responsibility!!!

@@1stElement it is a a lot of water and miss it you fail, miss the reading you fail, if I didn’t choose to have a roatong 12 hour shift job the work outs would be the easy part for me. I like that it is designed to be more difficult to inspire a commitment and when you hit the conditions it is supposed to change you for the better. I need to get motivated and do it 😂. I could use the growth

Love it mate, no nonsense telling it how it is. Which 3d camera are you using ? Best quality footage I've seen. Does it have a mic or did you use a separate mic ?

Thanks - yep - no nonsense is how I’m treating myself now… fed up with lying to myself! It’s an insta 360 One X (who names these..?!) - I use it all the time to be honest… the mic isn’t great so I use the Rode wireless go 2 to record on body. Although the thumping noise is something I need to sort out for the next run! Thanks so much for watch mate - I really appreciate it!

@mkdons22 ah do you? Well the go pros are obvs great but you still need a selfie stick with the 360 cam - it’s just super slim and easy to use - just need a bit of post production! What content do you make?

@1stElement yeah I googled the model and watched some vids I see you still need a selfie stick so it's a toss up between a go pro and the insta 360. Need to be able to connect a wireless mic. I do asmr content planning to do some outside content down side of cliffs and out on kayak
