I’m a gay man who grew up with a lot of fucked up messaging about the nature of my character from damaged people. I internalized so much shit so early, suffered so much abuse and violence, and I struggle every day against thoughts in my head that were never even mine. Even as an adult who’s done a lot of work on myself, I worry about what Bria says here: that I’ll be one of those people who never gets to access their own light in this lifetime. But thanks for the reminder to be empathetic. I know the people who put me through what they did were in pain too and that they didn’t deserve their suffering either. And recognizing that in them helps me step outside of my own negativity, get a bit closer to the light 💛

I needed this. It's just that people give their unwanted, unwarranted opinions so freely. I be minding my business, doing me, loving life then BOOM here come every Tom, Frank, Harry, & Susan plus Tamika, Tasha & Tiffany with their opinions of me & whatever I do. It blows me because I don't be doing much. Like literally. Ima regular degular woman but here come the stares, stupid comments& even people giving their thoughts on me or my body. It's weird. I feel like social media is the least of my worries. Those people literally don't matter but when it's your coworkers, fellow church members, family, etc. in real life , it hits different.

I really appreciate you for this video. I was thrown into depression for 3 years plus, being deformed as a Sickle Cell Warrior. My health waa deteriorating day by day, and I was loosing it. My mental health was in shambles. All thanks to God, for bringing me out of that state. I have created my own channel to encourage people through my story. God is helping me little by little, and am fulfilling my destiny gradually to the Glory of God. Depression Is bad.

If your like me and it’s really hard. I’m not saying anyone is but for me I discovered I potentially have OCD which is also linked maybe back to my chronic illness/autoimmune. Anyways my main sign was ruminating thoughts over anything and eveything in my life and what those ppl thought of me. Or rumination of my inaction on things dating way back to 3rd grade and I’m 24 now. Anyways maybe look into it more if it seems more excessive than the average person. Thanks for this video this is something the universe has been aligning me with to learn all summer. Your videos are a motivator 🙌🏾

Hey Bestie, this is such a timely video ❤ you mention there is a minority of people that do spend time and energy hating on others. Unfortunately, my dad’s side of the family is like that. And i am one of those people that spend an inordinate amount of time ruminating on the incredibly cruel things people have said about me. I am no longer in their crosshairs, they’ve moved on to other targets. But the words have remained in my soul. I am trying to free up my mental real estate to build my own dreams. Thank you for work making these videos 😊😊

3:00, so what do you do when it isn't anxiety or paranoia and people really do say nasty things about you behind your back. I'm not even egotistical, i didn't think i was noticed at all until i repeatedly overhear people having entire hour long discussions about me. it's crazy. it's like I'm a cancelled celebrity or something and they're all gossiping about me and i have to sit and hear it and it hurts. i don't know what it is about me, but people are obsessed with talking about me, my appearance, my personality, little insignificant things i say and do. they spend more time watching and chatting shit about me that acc speaking to me and being open minded to accepting me and giving me a chance or the benefit of the doubt.
