Hello ladies, I’ve been Watching your travels for a while and it’s a joy seeing mostly the mom/daughter relationship but the van life is amazing too. I live in Arizona and also have a Class B (which is an oversized van) and I love traveling, I’m taking baby steps towards living full time in my van at least for a year or so until I decide where I want to relocate, after I sell my home. I retired early from full time work and currently work online which is great for traveling. The tour of Marabelle is wonderful and Louie’s tour was as well. I travel alone but this pandemic has made me stay closer to home only to find out there are so many places in Arizona I have yet to visit and I’ve been here 19 years! Hopefully one day I will see you both on the road. And yes I did spend a bundle on my mobile home by choice. I use to buy, fix-up and sell houses and I didn’t want to do that this time (I was tired of it) Check out my Instagram “PLANYOURMEMORIES” for some of my travels. In May I’m planning on driving East to explore the South >> headed to the East Coast from Florida to Maine all during the summer. Please be safe and stay healthy. Teri

That's my dream too. I retired last year and planned to travel this year by car and planes and train(i love train travel)... But the pandemic ruined those plans. But it gave me time to re-evaluate my expenses and try to figure out where to live. Now, the more expensive rent and apartment living gets, i'm seriously considering full time van life. I live in NJ and have family and friends from Maine down to Florida who i want to travel to visit. I could spend months visiting and staying however long i(or THEY) want. It's scary... and i've broached it with my kids who think i'm crazy and/or too old. I think they're just afraid for me. I'm getting more confident with all these videos, especially these beautiful women. Best of luck on your journey!

It's not because it's unsustainable. There will definitely be a rise in nomads as there is a rise in self sustainable homes and the return to homestead with people growing their own food. We cannot sustain humans if we don't start growing our food more. We also need those vans to become electric and up the quality of solar panels. As I design my van, I considered where I can grow lettuce, microgreens and sprout on the road. If you van life, make sure too support your farmers markets and farmers on the road too, we're nothing without them. It's also cheaper than supermarkets.

Metal box for battery explosion & dangerous fume leakage (vented outside van). Backer board in case of over heating electrical components. Better safe than sorry..

I wanna travel so bad,and see beautiful Mother Earth, (I'm 58), and have absolutely no building skills whatsoever. And no tools,or saws either. But I bought a cheap van, it already had a big seat in the back I can use for a bed, and got a beautiful antique dresser for free, put it there, to put my stove on, and leaving as soon as I get it mechanically looked over. Someone else that I sub to(chrome), said just start simple. Which I'm def.doing.

Right now, right this very moment, you need to get that fire extinguisher out of the cabinet and install it somewhere near the door and in the open. If your van is on fire do you plan on crawling down on your hands and knees in a panic when you can't see, you're coughing and you can't breathe, to get a fire extinguisher out of a cabinet? By then you're passed out on the floor and you burn in the fire or die from the toxic fumes. The only direction you should ever be going when there is a fire is towards the door, towards the exit. So you should always put your fire extinguisher by the door since that's the only direction you should ever be going in when there's a fire in your van.

Mom and Loui, wow! So glad your video popped up on my recommended list! I'm delighted to find you both. I'm a kindred 'sista', located in Tacoma, WA, in the great Pacific Northwest. Like Mom, I have also have raised my fam, sons 28 and 20, and now really free to doing my thing. We did Yellowstone last year and I left saying I want more of that, and I'm gonna get my own trailer. So I came back and purchased a 19' fiberglass unit, with plans to do a lot of the mods myself, and a Tundra as my tow vehicle. I hope we run into each out somewhere... Will follow you to keep up with your adventures! Know this: There's a tribe of us adventurous sistas out here, you are not alone! Keep doin' it!

You know I have been bingeing these other van builds and they made me want to try this life, but did not make me think I could or should. You have motivated me. Thank you so much for sharing....
