Bananas are restocked every 30-40 minutes in supermarkets. They get in every two days and are kept semi-refrigerated until you buy them. Their shelf life is abysmal because they were just flown in from somewhere else and as they thaw out, they die.

I not only remember the wringer washing machine I owned one and used it weekly. It saves on water as it gets filled with hot water to wash whites, wring them out, put into a clothes basket then wash colored clothed, then work/play clothes. Drain the tub and refill with fresh water to rinse clothes in same order. Now you can hang your clothes out on the line to dry. Very cost effective and good exercise.

You are correct, Tyler. That appliance is an old clothes washer (it washes new clothes too). 😊. My grandmother had one and I was fascinated by it. One day I was watching it and decided to try it myself. After rinsing off the soap, you had to feed the clothes through the wringer, being careful not to catch your fingers in the wringer. Apparently, I missed that part of the instructions and got my fingers caught. Yes, it hurt. Like hell. Grandma put butter on it (that’s what they did back then), which made it worse. But those washers are very cool!

My iron skillet is my favorite cooking instrument. Had the present one for at least 35 years or so. I generally use the back burners for things that are just simmering in a saucepan, that sort of thing. Front burners get used with the larger things, like that iron skillet, and for things that are more actively involved, like frying various meats, potatoes, etc. Cooking on just two burners is very limiting.

If it happens again, try immersing the buckets in hot water. In theory, the outer bucket should swell enough to release from the inner bucket.
