This was filmed 1st week of March 2024 when the snow had started to melt. I look forward to visiting in Summer season in the future!

Mosaic shows the triumph over Nazis and Imperial Japanese with a chronological order from the east to west. On the other side you could see that soldiers from Soviet Union and Mongolian People’s Republic putting down a Imperial Japanese flags in a same fashion. Which is likely noting the Battle of Khalkhin gol or Nomonhan incident as the Japanese calls it.

If it wasn't for the snowstorm cancelling my flight from Khabarovsk to Ulan-Ude in 2021 I would have done that by now. It's a must see of mine!

@LukeBaillie, oh, you could have gone from mongolia by train. Anyways, fun fact: baigali or baikal means nature in buryat mongol dialect. Baikal is a russified way.
