one of the best coaches I was lucky to come across, not just in photography, but overall. I especially appreciate the slow, articulate and specific descriptions and language you use Kristina. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and for the ways you're sharing it. I sometimes watch you just for general ideas about branding, or even doing my own KZitem videos.

I just ran across you TODAY -- and am I ever grateful! I just opened my Etsy shop and want my pictures to be REALLY good--so this will help me tremendously! I don't have much for natural light--so I assume I use the same light source info you provided, but is there anything else I should be aware of if I'm using a softbox lighting kit and don't have natural light? Thanks again for the great info!!

Hey! Thank you for taking the time to say HI! When using softboxes you still want them left and right of the setup, you may do some front angled reflection with a white board if your product needs more light on the front. But one softbox replaces natural light and the other replaces reflection!

As always, your videos are right on point. I've been doing more flat lays, because I haven't been sure how to make a backdrop, and this has been super useful, thank you. I'm also going to look into that app, because the Samsung app is only so useful

I am so happy to hear that you found this video helpful! Thank you for taking the time to share that with me. Snapseed is great and has so many wonderful tools! There are a lot of options for making your own backdrops. White foam board and peel and stick wall paper is another to look into!

Back in my photography days, any time someone mentioned or asked about my equipment in response to praising my photographs, my response was always pretty much the following, "My camera is okay and my lenses are really good but that doesn't matter because they are just tools. Monet was not a master because he used the most expensive paint or the best brushes."

GREAT RESPONSE! Thank you for sharing that! Totally on point! The camera base doesn't matter so much, the lens does! But at the end of the day, the best photographers can create beauty with really anything! Interesting enough though, I don't think a lot of people connect the dots of photography being "artistic." Composition follows many of the same guidelines for design and all of these creative realms blend!
