Kevyn Aucoin is the one who invented this back in the 90s and Scott took it and made it famous. Sorry to say, Mary just steal all the glory and took all the credit without tagging the right legend

Scott Barnes never tagged Kevyn Aucoin either. And Mary was seen in videos on KZitem doing this technique at the same time Scott was on KZitem doing it. None of them gave Kevyn Aucoin the recognition for it.

I haven’t tried the entire face that way, but I have definitely done it with blush, especially a darker color, and it is really pretty. The thing with cream products that always gets me is that I end up going over my bronzer, blush, and highlight with the corresponding powder products leading me to ask myself whether or not it makes sense for me (time wise) to duplicate each step. I find I use my powders so much more because of that. Your look is gorgeous, but you have a beautiful canvas so I always think you look gorgeous regardless of technique!

5:25 A key point of the contour blending from the original video is that it is blended UP all the way to the temple, not across. If you watch closely, she uses any excess on the eyelids. She is also using two shades of foundation. She applies lighter foundation under the eyes.
