You mean “peppy” as in: “she has pep” bc “pReppy” is a style & Elle is clearly not a preppy chic in this movie. Elle wears stilettos 👠 not loafers. this movie did a great job of laying out the reasons elle would make a good lawyer throughout. with this scene, we see that she's shrewd, quick on her feet, and knowledgeable. in the scene where warner ends their relationship, she's able to recall things he said and use them in argument immediately. no matter how she's burned for it, she continues to believe in people, and she gets genuine pleasure out of using the strengths she has to help people. it's a very good movie, unlike the sequel and the much later spin-off movie "legally blondes."
