I've always sympathized with Vincent because I've been self-publishing writing books and poems for two years- and nothing. No sales. I've reached out to thousands- nothing. . I write poetry, but it's not like instapoetry. I write books, but they're not YA and fantasy, which is what's popular. I have two fans WHO I LOVE!!!! but the lack of recognition is crushing. I feel for Vincent. He was not celebrated in his lifetime, but he picked art. He picked himself instead of what everyone else does, and that's what imma do too even though i feel doomed to be like Vincent

Have you ever read Vincent’s letters to his brother Theo. This was an artist with such soul, compassion and love for the poorest people. He died far too soon. Trestle theatre once did an extraordinary mime performance of his life using his paintings as the backdrop and an accompanying soundtrack from his letters. Extraordinary!

Years ago, I went on a cruise and the ship was themed after various artists. Monet, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, and of course Van Gogh. Being an art major at the time, I was in awe. Each room had a different artist motif. And of course, there was a Van Gogh room. It was like walking into one of his paintings. One of the most peaceful and surreal experiences, I've ever had.

to my mind, debussy and van gogh blend into each other almost perfectly. I feel like they're conveying the exact same energy and message through different types of art. There's just something that's intangible and moody in both van gogh's paintings and debussy's works. It feels like floating, and i often think about how debussy's works sound like an impressionist's painting, especially van gogh! i love what you did with this playlist, cheers:)

Gymnopedie no.1 is also very very much in line with Van Gogh imo, there's this sadness, and this irrepressible beauty and appreciation for beauty that seeps through both of them. Attempts of soothing pain through admiration, and through that admiration, the expression of utmost sincere appreciation for the world, and a backdrop of sorrow weaving through it all. When I think of Van Gogh I see Starry Night, and with that I HEAR Gymnopedie No. 1.

You just reminded me that I wanted to add more in my comment that I couldn't because I had to go earlier Starry Night and Gymnopedie no.1 both always felt like a loved one (be it family or a good friend) finding you after a really bad day, truly listening to your sorrows and comforting you, not shoving your emotions away offhandedly, but embracing them and relating their point of view, showing you that you are right to be hurting, and you can take your time, but you can't let it overtake you. Dawn will come after these hours of darkness, but in the meantime, since we have to go through it either way, let's enjoy this starry, starry night

To quote Don Mc Clean in the song Vincent ' This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you. ' Every painting tells a story . I cry with joy and sorrow looking at the paintings of Vincent . Ironically this wonderful man had died in abject poverty and now his paintings sell for many millions . A cruel world .

O início em doses de paranoias. Você me olhou a noite toda de longe, me observou e eu fingi não perceber.
