Credit cards alone aren't going to do the job. You need to be able to demonstrate you can pay your way. Trust me, it's for real. You can gain entry when your story checks out, but if you're low income, that can slow your entry into a country because you show up as a potential over-stayer.

@Ashira_N_A Yeah but it's not like he is coming from some country with terrible work opportunities or terrible safety or political freedom. He is coming from the uk pretty equivalent to Canada. What's the logic in spending a ton of money to go fly to Canada to live there illegally and maybe get a job before you starve.

I can understand maybe just asking a whole list of questions to vistors like where are they coming from, where are they going, who are they visiting, etc. but to ask someone how much is in their bank accounts and to show proof is way too much. If the visitor doesn’t leave by the date stated on the rt trip ticket then that’s a different story. I really feel like they ask all of that to be nosy. It’s very low class for that behavior to be allowed.
@warbaby9773

The reason they ask is to make sure the person doesn't become stranded and when someone is stranded he or she can do anything to raise money, including committing crimes in the country they visited. It's not been nosy

@@warbaby9773Plenty of people get by by doing odd ball jobs on long trips in different countries, & have for ever. That’s not mentioning things like wire transfers, & the million other ways to make & move money off of nothing more than a smartphone. It’s way to intrusive to assume somebody isn’t going to leave when they have however long the visa, or way they’re in country provides. If they break that then, & only then should any sort of further action be taken. Living in a world policed by “you might/could do something is a dangerous one because we all may end up doing the very things we wouldn’t think in places we never imagined.

They do that to ensure no one is coming here to work illegally or overstay their visa. If they let all people in without knowing their financial status, chances are there's gonna be a whole bunch of people working illegally or using welfare meant for their citizens. Every country does it, the one who's complaining it's nosy pretty sure doesn't want job opportunities or welfare to go to someone who is supposed to be just visiting their country and then will go around and blame their government when that happens. 😂😂😂

@@CornPopsDoodyou can't work even online when you are in another country because you'll then have to pay taxes. It is illegal to do that. Wire transfers - he has to show someone from his family will do wire transfer. They don't want random people to do with transfers because that may have to do with some criminal activity. It is their country and every right to let someone in or not based on their rules. It isn't a right for a foreigner to enter into a country, it is a privilege! They obviously know about credit cards. Have you not watched the full episode? I have and they ask him to prove he has sufficient funds including bank accounts, cards etc to make their decision. They have every right to ensure someone entering the country enters by legal means and has enough funds to sustain themselves during their stay. If they don't have enough funds, then those people will work illegally or commit crime like theft or try to get welfare from the government which is all detrimental to their citizens. So they have every legal right to ask for your funds and their sources. Entering a foreign country is a privilege not a right.
