I mean, if you want to see a bomber varient of the Geonosian fighter, I think the Solar Sailor would be a good template for that. Each prong could have an sonic cannon, the main weapon in the center like normal, a bomb chute in the middle, and the ship could run with a 2 man crew. One flies the ship and fires the main cannon, the other handles the bomb bay and the sonic cannons. With the cockpit obviously moved to the rear for ease of use so the pilot hive can all learn the same controls for the ships

I think the most impressive part about this ship is the fact that it's totally domestically produced. It's one thing to make a top-tier starfighter, but it's even more impressive for one isolated planet to mass produce a design that can rival almost any other. Geonosis is basically the only planet outside the Core to build their own top-tier military with no outside help. They dod did this to avoid becoming dependent on others.

For the longest time my favorite starfighter was the A-Wing; it's light, maneuverable, and just about every source put in front of you shouts how it's the fastest thing out there. In recent years, however, I took a second look at the CIS (as a lot of the internet seems to have done lately) including at the Geonosians and the Nantex. If some sources are to be taken with even a grain of salt, they put the Nantex well above and beyond the previous top dog positions on speed alone (20,000 km/h under optimal atmospheric conditions). Beyond speed you've got a shopping list of traits: its array of tractor beam generators for pinpoint weapon accuracy; its frictionless ball thruster and laser cannon that allow for unmatched dynamics in dogfights, as well as its bubble cockpit for optimal line of sight. The lifetime worth of synchronization between pilot and flight computer (which has adaptability programming with more in common with a droid brain), their ability to communicate reflexively via pheromones, and the fact that Geonosian pilots don't need to sleep and are ready for duty at an instant (whether from a ground spire, or an orbital asteroid field) is a level of dedication to perfecting starfighter combat like nothing any other military culture can match, not even the GAR with its specialized clones and years of flash training. Simply put: while the Nantex may arguably not be the best starfighters overall, they are among the best designed interceptors and most personalized dogfighters, and are paired with the most dedicated, specialized, and perhaps finest corps of non-force-using pilots in the setting, bar none. My new favorite.

The ones that weren't piloted by Genosians were flown by droid pilots on occasion in the clone wars, which was the only other kind of pilot that could fly them somewhat effectively. They had good long range accurate firepower and decent maneuverability, but they lacked in other areas. One problem were the limited weaponry it would have for dealing with larger ships like Star Destroyers. Given the Empire gassed Geonosis, whatever defense fleet was there couldn't stop the Empires heavy ships from decimating them and it was to hide the 'Death Star' project that the Geonosians had helped create. This would be the largest genocide committed by the Empire leaving 100 Billion dead, with one survivor that Darth Vader eventually stole a battle droid factory from, that being the sterile last Genosian and Queen known as Karina. The Genosis Fighter also had lengthy production times being hand crafted, the absolute need for specialized pilots which were in limited supply and were primarily made to be used in atmosphere more effectively than in space. If the fighter loses it's pilot, could it even be used by another Genosian or would it need a droid pilot from that point on? The ships not having interchangeable pilots wouldn't help the limitations of actually piloting one by sense of smell. Genosians had poor eyesight. Palpatine really didn't like the Genosians given the way they basically suffered total extinction that only a Kaminoan would be able to fix if they got a hold of some genetic material and the Kaminoans didn't fair any better either.

Mon Calamari designs are consistently the most interesting in Star Wars, as they are such an organic divergence from the angular, WWII-inspired Imperial and Rebel ships. I think a key reason we don't see this ship (or similar models) outside of the Geonosis scenes is due to the extremely niche design, which capitalizes on unique Geonosian traits. Most obvious to me is the use of pheromones to convey information, but there are other species-specific features that other races likely could not easily replicate. The cockpit, for example, is very form-fitting, almost claustrophobic; the bubble canopy, unlike many other craft, somewhat impedes forward vision but enables 360 degrees around, which complements the Geonosian eye structure; I'm sure there would be other features along those lines that other races simply could not replicate, even to their own anatomy.
