My favorite aquarium you have is actually the piranha tank, I just love the fact that the scape itself looks kinda dangerous. The anubias also add a lot making it look more natural, while keeping the focus on the wood. And off course red bellied piranha are just awesome, imo pretty looking fish that have a bad reputation that is not fully deserved. I myself only have one tank with: pearl gourami, candy cane tetra, kuhli loaches and hillstream loaches. Unfortunately I am not in a position to get a second tank

The colours in the brackish tank make it my favorite, but the oscars and piranha tanks are so close to being favorite also. Then you show the Tanganyika and the apistos and I'm like "Oh yeah, I like those too!". BTW I saw some full grown Archers at the sea life centre in Birmingham UK a few months back. I was surprised by how big they get!

The look and colour of the piranha tank make it a favourite for me, but also the fish because in Australia we can't have them. My favourite aquarium at home would be my australian native tank, which houses my two Macleay River Turtles, a small school of Macculloch's rainbowfish and a tandanus catfish, as well as a variety of native plants, snails and shrimp

The Piranha tank is probably my favourite in the gallery, the way it’s lit really sets it off for me. My favourite tank I personally own is my 20L hillstream tank with 1 Reticulated Hillstream Loach, 8 Gold Mountian Minnows, and 8 Zebra Danios. A rock and wood heavy scape with minimal planting (Val and some mosses) and a powerhead giving it a circular river-like flow.

The intro to this video was absolutely adorable. ❤️ Anyway I’m simply enjoying this brackish tank. I’ve personally tried brackish tanks before especially to breed amano shrimp some years back and was never successful. The shrimp were doing their thing but I just couldn’t get the babies to survive. After multiple failed attempts and trying for about a year, I eventually gave up and decided fresh water is my thing. But now I am getting inspired again because of this video. Thank you for that. Love your content as always, I just personally hardly ever leave comments. 🤣

I love the algea tank. That will be great if the fish start breeding in it. My favorite tank I have is a "medium barb" tank. It has Denison barbs, Striped Barbs and Rohanii tear drop barbs. I keep a huge filter, circulation pump and sponge filter for tons of aeration and the fish are constantly active.

All of your tanks are masterpieces, I believe that with every tank you make, you put a piece of yourself in it with all the time, energy, and thought you put into it, a piece of you just kind of stays there and that's really beautiful. They're all unique, to me it's like comparing apples and oranges, but I'm going to have to say you swept me away with the new brackish water community tank, I love the kind of fish you put in, and I can see from the little window you give us all into that fish room that those fish have beautiful personalities, and to me, that's the most important thing. Every one of your tanks is my favorite, I can't choose one, but if you're looking for ideas. A larger well scaped tank with a giant school of nano fish seems to work really well and get people's attention, especially fish that are really good at schooling, one of my personal favorite fish to do that with is cardinal tetras it's always breathtaking to see. It would be nice to see small fish get a good amount of space for once and I'm sure you could do that effortlessly

My favorite tank you have is the stingray tank. I’ve ALWAYS wanted a Ray, man! ALWAYS! But the squares here in Florida won’t allow it to be purchased or kept. Oh well. I just started up my 125 gallon drilled freshwater tank back in April and I LOVE IT! I got this whole tank, stand, sump, lights and decor at a SCREAMIN DEAL of only 275 bucks and since-forth I’ve done TON of custom woodworking to the stand and built my own custom canopy that’ll blow your mind! I’ll see if I can do a quick video and post it so you can check it out on my page. This tank is STUNNING! And as an extra I got a 40 gallon that I built a custom background for and custom canopy for it as well. I’ll do videos for both. You’ll love it, Joey!

I know what you mean about getting lost in your aquariums.... I'll go feed the fish in our bedroom tanks & 30 min later I have to make myself stop staring & go eat diner or I'll be in there all night. It's so addictive. Your tanks are truly so beautiful each in their own way.... hard to compare them. The simplicity of your Oscar tank, & the range of emotion it brings out has to make it my favorite.

I only have the one Aquarium, it's a bit small, no where near your scale, but it's not tiny. I keep some Otocinclus, a lone Farowella acus (he's in dire need of some friends) a small group of diamond rainbows, some cherry barbs (I even have a baby) and a small group of Botia sidthimunki. I have two types of amazon sword leaf plants, as well as a huge bushy one and tentacle like one that is kinda everywhere. In almost the center of the tank I used two relatively large pieces of mangrove wood to make a tower like structure and sat some anubias on top of it. It may not be the coolest tank in the world, but it's mine and that makes it special.

I could never choose a favorite here. The idea of making morning coffee and entering this space.... 😍 We have all nano tanks right now with 75s in progress. The house favorite is a 5gal portrait tank that looks a lot like the brackish tank - an underwater forest, but ours is heavily planted with mosses, java fern and Jungle val. Home to chili endlers, kuhli loaches, neocaradina shrimp we raised (blue and chocolate), a dwarf crayfish and a baby calico pleco that is just visiting. It's hit the sweet spot and we get mesmerized watching breeding of the endlers and shrimp... sometimes even the loaches!

I have to say your brackish tank is stunning, everything about is right. Out of my 12 own tanks, my favourite is also 200 litre brackish housing green spotted puffers, with a large lava rock scape through the centre, with a red light underneath to give the hot lava look, and also fake plants either end as the puffers like these, I chose lava as it’s also a great media, love your work 👍🇬🇧👍

I think your piraña tank is the best. The lighting is perfect, the colouring is kinda sinister and matches the narrative of these fish! Don’t get me wrong, the brackish is beautiful too, and who couldn’t love the oscars who are stars in their tank! But that piraña tank is what I’d love to copy! I’m actually in the middle of my first ever tank build (thanks for the inspiration) and I’ve got as far as getting all the acrylic cemented together. It’s very much a tiny tank though as a 10 gallon cube but I like the idea of a dark partially planted tank with shoaling tetras flashing their colours!

The oscar tank is definitely my favorite but I'm probably being biased as well. I had an oscar. She passed in February. Before I had Amber I didn't care for cichlids at all. But I got an oscar which is a cichlid because I wanted more experience with different fish before I go for more higher end fish like gars, stingrays, etc. Having Amber, oscars became my favorite fish. My favorite in home aquarium isn't actually an aquarium. It's an indoor pond. I got a little giants livestock trough from peavy mart. It's 100g and is made of thick black plastic. I use two of your diy filters on it. One is a 5g bucket filled with plastic pot scrubbies on top of lava rock powered by a 75 air pump. The other is a power head on a bottle filled with ceramics. I use a mix of play sand and white aquarium sand for substrate. A few rocks we found at the river and a bunch of silk plants. It houses 3 single tail goldfish. A comet from a feeder tank. At the store he looked super healthy and had nice long finage already so pulled him, quarantined for 4 months and introduced him to the 2 already inhabiting the pond. The other two are a shubunkin and a sarasa. By far my favorite setup. Especially since it's 4ft from my gaming chair so I can sit back and watch them all day. Only down side is it is very difficult to not give them a ton of little snacks. Lol. Your lovely girlfriend wants guppies right? Well maybe let her have an indoor guppy pond. Hint hint. I'd love to see her have her own system with her own fish and her own scape. You've brought her a long way into the fishy world. Take it that one extra step. Push her into the deep end. You know you want to.

My son and I made a 20 gal planted Orange Flash Apistogramma pair tank with so much personality on display, there's so much to love. recently we picked up a locally bred lemon bristle nose pleco and some otologist cats to finish the tank. We started it a few years ago and it impresses me every day.

I say the word Aquarium like 5-10 times a day :) When I see your aquariums, I couldn’t ever say that I have a favorite one because every fish has its own character and it’s own behavior. Eg in one tank a have the betta couple with some shrimps in it and although the bettas could easily eat the shrimps, they don’t even touch them. And it’s just so fascinating to watch every fish by itself, how it eats, how it breads and how it moves. That’s why every fish keeper should not have only one aquarium.

My favourite tank of mine is a blackwater biotope, 300l, it has a very naturalistic look since the bottom is covered in about 2 inches of black gravel and on top of that gravel there is like 4 inches of potting soil that you would find in any gardening shop(I made sure it didn't containt anything harmful), the soil just made my plants go absolutely nuts(some floaters, water lily and some really bushy plant of which I forgot the name of) and yes, for the first 2 days the water was completely black but after 2 full water changes and some scooping of floating stuff it turned a really nice, red tea color, the soil also contained some invertebrate eggs (some small flat snails and some weird flat worms that are like 1-2 inches in length that seem to be harmless, they never leave the soil), the fish have also done amazing, not even one loss from 20 neon tetras 20 serpae tetras and 2 gold gouramis, for the decor I used a lot of long, slender, twisting branches a little bit of leaf litter and some flat pieces of bark that create some little hiding places. I would describe the whole aesthetic of the aquarium as a creepy but peaceful lake bottom

I think I say tank or aquarium 5-10 times a day, although it’ll usually be tank. But if I get in a conversation with someone about fish I want to keep, that number will go through the roof 😂 I think my favourite tank of yours right now is between the oscar aquarium (because it’s just so fascinating to see that behaviour) and the piranha tank, which is seriously amazing in all ways. Runner up is the Tanganyika tank, simply for looks. As for favourite tank of mine right now… gahhhh I can’t choose! I love them all! My 5 gallon planted betta & emerald Moscow guppy tank is so much fun to feed and interact with, and the fry are so adorable. My 5 gallon iwagumi-style celestial Pearl danio tank got some HC added to it yesterday (and a huge algae clean) and it now looks amazing! I love those fish. I also recently rescaped my female betta’s 5 gallon aquarium, with this beautiful river stone scape (with stones I collected on a camping/hiking trip) that has little bits of anubias nana planted everywhere. But my 29 gallon jungle is so captivating, it’s got to compete with the rest! I’ve had it the longest (2.5 years) and it is flourishing. I’ve got a beautiful school of 15 ember tetras, a female pseudomugil luminatus, a cute Siamese Algae Eater who handles the cleanup along with my trio of calico bristlenoses (who have bred twice recently, and whom I grew from being an inch long). And additionally, I have what is becoming a colony of apistogramma nijsseni! 3 generations! The third generation was born yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so rewarding to breed a fish like this, and to do it 4, 5 times? Then to raise the fry, sell some for a profit, and breed the nicest pair?! Okay, I think I’m convincing myself that it might be my favourite tank. It’s quirky too - I have a HUGE amount of Java and Christmas moss that covers 3/4 of the tank, and the rest is densely planted with bacopa, anubias, Java fern and ludwigia. And my pH is somehow in the 4.5-5.5 range. Like WHAT??? I had to buy an extra test kit to see that, and I’m still bottoming that one out! But the fish and the plants love it. So… that’s my essay of a response to Joey’s questions. Let me know if you read all the way through that 😂

This tank intrigues me the most as it's always been in my plans to do a native tank (to Australia) with archers once I'm done with my goldfish. Fun story, our local zoo has a massive brackish tank, and other than the archers, the fish that impressed me the most was the barramundi (each easily was a metre in length). My favourite tank of yours, would have to be the Lake Tanganyika tank - who would have thought of putting shell dwellers with frontosa!? Of my tanks, my favourite is my goldfish tank. It's very minimalist, one large red desert rock on one side with smaller rocks on the other side of the tank to resemble a shelled out boulder, completed with white sand as the substrate, blue background and no plants (aka expensive salad for said goldfish). In spite of its minimalist look, it's the tank I've put my most time and money into. Everything other than the rocks and the tank itself was made thanks to yourself

Been doing brackish for 25 years now and I have to say that this is one of the best brackish tank setups I have ever seen. Your archerfish really pop with those yellow fins. Who are you getting your archers from? Also, what is in that community fish food mix (what are the different foods- Tetra, Hikari, etc.)? Add a Fig. 8 puffer, tiger moray eel, and 3 shark cats. By the way, these guys (archers, monos, scats) will get about 6 in. in your aquarium. Have more space?

I always say "tank". For example, my wife or I will ask one another "did you feed the similis/multies/brevis/guppy/bettas/parrots/shrimp/puffer/etc tank?" Seriously....I wonder if MTS could actually be considered a real syndrome or disorder?! I've got 17 tanks and that's still not enough. lol Joey, I love natural looking tanks as well. That includes algae, blackwater, etc. My favorite aquarium of yours is the Red Bellied Piranha. As for my favorite tank....It's probably a tie between my Neolamprolagus Similis or my overgrown, heavily planted Betta tank. It's got several different species of snails, cherry shrimp, a gorgeous female Betta with pearlescent purple and pink coloring. There are also some Raspboras in there which recently just spawned. Point being, there's a lot going on in the tank. I love it. As for the Similis, they just have a ton of personality. Watching them fight, rearrange territories, team up to defend their territory. I watch my Similis tank for at least an hour everyday.

I love the bigger tanks. Way better to scape and to look at and to observe as communities then when you had all those 'smaller' tanks.

Great video. Love the intro. I also have archer fish that love to spray water at me to get my attention.

I love algae! All of them. I know so many people hate them, but I think they're cool and they look natural. Algae is beneficial too.💚

A few years ago Cory @aquariumcoop had archers in his 800 setup and attached some of the tab food to the glass about 6" above the water line. It was amazing to watch the archers spit at them to try knocking them loose... quite accurate shots! They were clogging up his auto feeders by spitting at those too.

Im in the same boat as you as all my tanks are my favorite. Love my pea/hap tank for the color. Love my angelfish tank for the beauty and breeding. Love my pea puffer tank for the cuteness lol. Love my dragon puffer tank for the ease and rareness. Love my shrimp tank to see all the micro life that it has. Love my reef tank for the neon looking colors. A person should love all their tanks for different reasons. This gallery has made the biggest come-up. Keep it up!!!

My favorite tank form your aquariums is the brackish water with archers. Absolutely amazing! And my favorite aquarium that i own is my 65gal Negative Space Aquascape reef tank. Saltwater took over my life😂 all the corals are just breathtaking and the fish act so much different than freshwater. I love all fish and tanks! Great job on all your tanks!

Definitely the brackish water tank, it’s beautiful and busy. My favorite personal tank is one that I have created that is created completely out of petrified wood and white sand. I have massive pieces of petrified wood that sit in white sand with Repens growing everywhere. I stock it with Guppies, because they are active, easy and beautiful. But petrified wood really sets the tank off when algae grows in the cracks and crevices.
