Thank you Ryan and Hanks for creating an enchanting movie that paints a beautiful and real image of life in the city. Life, during one of the finest seasons, fall. Fall, in NYC. Definitely one of my favorite moments in cinematic history. Creates a sense of endearment, charm. Takes my breath away.

I always thought it was ironic that she frequents Starbucks throughout the movie, which is the coffee industry's version of Fox Books, the exact type of company she ends up fighting against. I've seen this movie so many times, and there are always little things that pop up that I didn't notice before. It has always painted a picture of NYC in my head, and when I visit, I always think of this movie. Also, perfect Cranberries song for this 90s movie.

The whole movie feels like it’s about the love/hate relationship we have with capitalism. It’s terrible and it’s amazing. Just like Joe. And everyone. AOL itself being another example of a big corporate power … which turns out to bring such joy, connection, and love. I’ve always suspected this was how Norah Ephron felt. Torn between loving the magic of the little things like a local bookstore. And a brilliant script that one person can write. Yet beholden to the power of the big things. Like the chains we actually sort of like. The wealth that comes from success. And the giant corporation (Warner Brothers) one relies upon to actually turn that script into a film.

this scene is beautiful, Dolores voice, this early morning moments where everyone starts his day, the lyrics of the song, listening to Meg while she reading her Email to Tom, those little details which were set carefully by Nora the Director, no one can do it better than she did, I've never been to New York City but I guess it was so beautiful in '90s

You couldn't remake this film today. It just wouldn't work. Nobody would believe that you didn't know someone's identity, only an email address. That's what makes it kind of romantic though. Nowadays you'd have Facebook, Twitter and a whole host of other social media sites that would tell you about a person, the mystery is gone. Which maybe is good because you probably don't want to cold meet someone and them turn out to be an Axe murderer. anyway great film.
