True enlightenment is breaking down the barriers that have kept you from existing authentically. It’s connecting with your inner self in a world that conditions you to disconnect. It’s ofc always within us but, I do believe that the way the world works we go through a process of forgetting and then remembering who we are, the remembering process happens not by obtaining anything specifically but instead observing, experiencing, and not allowing dominant culture to keep you away from your inner self. I don’t know how to explain it . But, it almost feels like enlightenment is remaining in a childlike state. To me Children are the most enlightened. When they are nurtured and cultivated they have the ability to feel themselves and others in a way that support healing and wellness. And on the other hand children have this ability to be very present and open to the possibility of now, not thinking of an end destination but rather finding peace and joy in the present and having a beautiful balance of wisdom and play. They are open to learning, they know they don’t know everything. They ask questions and are curious and make life a journey of experiments and not enlightenment. I really hope what I’m tryna say makes sense . But, to wrap this up 😂 children are our best examples of what enlightenment is.

Great video, agree with pretty much everything . You were talking of how 'enlightenment' is itself a concept, which it is, but I think another conceptual ego trap people fall into is the whole "enlightenment is already here and now" trap lol . This often leads people to adopt a 'subconsciously CONCEPTUAL' notion of already being enlightened, and if they were honest, they would admit they have not actually realized this already inherent enlightenment . It's kind of like how people think just being very still and focusing on the breath is complete present moment awareness, all the while there are tons of mental factors playing out in time underneath our awareness . That is a concept of the present moment, when the TRUE NOW cannot be a concept, since ALL concepts are rooted in time . The irony . To add to what you were saying of how you can't basically "add" something onto your experience to "reach" enlightenment, pretty much if we're honest, our doing "nothing" is not really "nothing" so we don't realize this already inherent Enlightenment . So the TRUE teachers all pretty much teach the way of "subtraction" . Challenging and questioning all our taken for granted beliefs/assumptions . Or rather simply contemplating the NATURE of beliefs/concepts to see that ALL beliefs/concepts are illusions. Even the concept of 'already being enlightened' . The more we see through our delusions, the "closer" we get to our True Nature as Nothingness . The most any one of us can say about Enlightenment is that we don't know . Not in the form of ignorance, but that it is beyond 'knowing' . Anyone who can understand this, can see that basically 99% of these spiritual youtubers/social media people who claim to have had enlightenments or spiritual awakening are misinformed and simply just had a mystical experience . The 3 most pivotal teachers IMO who straighten people out of their delusion of what enlightenment are Jed McKenna, Peter Ralston, and Adyashanti . One thing Adya says about all his students who have Kensho (First Enlightenment Experience), is that EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY SAY "it's not what they expected" lol . Pretty much Dakotas video description . P.S. Nonduality Nazis, spare me the nitpicking . I only have dualistic language to communicate.

@@dakotawint Awesome man! I'd be interested in seeing what you think of them . Jed is basically someone who intentionally acts like a dick to get people to be honest about their true intentions in their "spiritual journeys" and goes into brutal honesty of what enlightenment "is" . Peter Ralston probably has uncovered the depths of our consciousness more than any other teacher in history possibly . Both of those two teachers books are underground classics . Adyashanti is more well-known but still along the same lines of not sugar coating anything and simply pointing people to the Truth that we all distract ourselves from with brutal honesty .

Your ridiculous i love your brain. I discovered your channel a few days ago and its fuun to go through your videos !! ❤️❤️. This is what you inspired me to write : enlightenment doesnt really exist. It is when you let go of enlightenement that you feel the freedom and awe of what always was. Life (being alive) is no strife, like going on a mountain top, life is receiving, like a bowl, and the more you do it without judgement, the more your experiencing :) Also made me realize that you dont have to find everything inside of yourself, you can find youself amd be stable and build something in your environement that you like to keep you busy amd bring you happiness. Its so funny how so many spirituals, we become so self-absorbed.. And theres nothing wrong with that but were usually also very troubled and thats why were so stuck jumping like a ball across the walls of our body ... I hope things start making sense, along with letting go, i think the answer is receiving🌹🌷👻❤️

I feel like enlightenment is truly knowing you know nothing, and continuously trying to growing from that. Seeing everything around you for what it really is, lessons and growth. Knowing there's a better way and trying it. I moved into a tent and the first morning i WOKE up and had the craziest spiritually awakening. It felt like i was reborn realizing that there's so much to learn and so many new studies to be made. Had being bipolar depressed PTSD anxiety, being brought back 15x i woke up with all my traumas as learning experiences that could help other instead of just awful things happening to me. All ny "sympoms" fell away. I had a bird bring me a flower, everything just seems dream like now. Whats the 3000 y_o fire called? Some people (like Koi - Visshudha das) teach that thinking or overthinking is an enemy of peace of mind. I don´t think so! You can overthink but still feel that silent inner core behind it all. I feel it all the time. I was always wondering what meditation is, because I feel like I´m always in meditation in some way. No matter what I do, and it has nothing to do with if I am happy or not. It´s not like "inner chatter" or "silence". It can be both at the same time. If people fear that thinking will rob them of the inner silence, it´s very wrong, on the contrary. We need to THINK, educate ourselves (there is never enough and it´s not dangerous). I think gnostics believe knowledge is the way to enlightement (or something like that), I totally believe it, because ignorance and evil go hand in hand. IMO if people searched for knowledge and wisdom instead of selfishly looking for enlightement, the world would be a better place.

I think that the void is the cosmic womb, and a dimension where all realities exist at the same time, therefore overlapping light and color creates the endless black... You know how when you mix colors it all turns to black? And how before we are born I guess everything is dark? That's the womb of the mother.... and when you are birthed a portal is opened, the birth canal, and you are here....✨🔥🌼🔥✨

@@oakenadams3844 ok i deleted all my ramblings so I could just summarize in a much shorter passage: in reference to "void" I agree that it seems to be a dimension that contains all realities existing at the same time and is like a cosmic womb of sorts, the only thing I will point to that is contrary or different to what you said is that I wouldn't call it black persay, its more empty than even blackness or darkness, it is like the color of the inside of your mind or the sound of a no-handed clap... :D those are koans, meaning there is no real right answer, the answer is truly non-existent, "void" :) that's all and thanks for sharing your thoughts today. Ohh & I also think that maybe our existential purpose & incarnations are just simply the journeys of re-connecting to our spirit/higher self/divine source. Earth lessons are painful and difficult & therefore I think that maybe that’s where terms such as “old soul” were birthed because older souls have purely just incarnated more & experienced more lessons which ultimately leads to transcendence and the shedding of old frames of thought. Spirit journeys are individual & I believe that we can be born into human form with whatever current level of consciousness we possess & that’s where ppl differ. For ex. I read somewhere that younger souls tend to live in small towns where level of awareness and open minds also tend to be small. (But that’s just a general example, we all capable of growth). & then.. When we die we just merge back into light. Idk I’ve had too many profound experiences where I’ve physically connected to a higher power that exists outside myself to believe in anything other then the fact that we are jus divine beings of light here to evolve. But evolve into what? Do I just ascend & become a spirit guide for my loved ones? Do I ascend & become something even more divine & more powerful? That’s where the mystery for me lies 👁

Exactly! Enlightenment is not about being a know it all and it not something we chase after. It’s about having an open heart that lightens up to experience more. Sadh Guru says the spiritual process begins when you realize you do not know. Enlightenment is all about being open to evolve. Trying to find a belief to hold on to is a trap not enlightenment. It’s an evolving path not a dead end.

Does happiness have anything to do with our evolution? What if chasing happiness keeps us from evolving further into mind/consciousness? What if this planet is an expression of only a very limited part of who we are and as we tap more into the ever expanding awareness of who we could be, it would change things as we see them now? I believe we are the car and the journey, we just forgot that we are the ones in the drivers seat, and we have forgot our unique ability to create! That’s why I believe so many people are sick and depressed because they have forgotten how unlimited they are in their ability to be so much more and as a society we limit that creativity with too many borders and regulations that try to keep us safe and protected!! But from what exactly? Ourselves 😳 We need to tear up the fucking rule book and start believing in ourselves again 🐝 Just my thoughts 🌎 Peace 🙏

« we are already whole » is a concept too, and a very useful and powerful one. I don’t agree that concepts are just a distraction. A powerful concept is like a mind bomb made by the same material (thoughts) it has to destroy. An atomic bomb is made by splitting the atoms it has to wipe out. When you throw a powerful concept at your mind, your feelings your sensibility your intelligence, every subtle and powerful intuitions you had, but that you couldn’t yet express, finally gets incarnated into a form through which it can really exist. A bomb. Then the endless train of thoughts collapses, revealing what is beyond. The problem is that you have to keep doing it, because the thoughts and fears will take over again. And they are incredibly thick and powerful, and incredibly sneaky. You need to bomb it endlessly with powerful concepts, few and simple but powerful. The ones gurus give. The more you do it, the more you integrate those bomb concepts into your way of thinking and feeling, the easiest you will know how to use it, the more you will remember and see the truth and not forget it anymore.

6:52 we need this other video you speak of about the power of symbolism in marketing. I was just discussing this the other day. Ads on the radio, billboards, and such cause people to hear, see, think, and speak about certain people or things so often that it provides actual energy towards whatever the ads are for. For example, a local lawyer who has a very successful marketing plan going on in my area is the first person people think or speak of when anyone around here starts talking about lawyers because his name and number have bombarded us so successfully. Whether they're consciously doing so or not, brands are practicing magic by gaining influence through repetitive symbolism being pushed onto us through ads and marketing. Use your energy for good, don't let them leech your vitality for their own selfish gains. ☮️🕉️💞

It's ironic that any of the physical challenges are an attempt to detach from the ego. It's ironic because all of the methods use the ego to silence the ego. How can it work? It can't! Not for that purpose, at least. It's like trying to meditate. Using the mind to escape the mind is like a comb trying to straighten itself, or a fork picking itself up. It just doesn't work! So where are we left? We are, we exist, we are existence. I am you, you are me, everything is we. We already are, we just cover it up so much with the concept of "me." Or as Mooji says, "to find truth you must disappear." Love you, brother. 🙏❤💥
