I saw this same idea on Izzy Swan's channel...... it's a great accessory! Even with the added support I'd still be nervous using it when trying to rip a full sheet. I'd be concerned about the front end staying down, even with a featherboard in the fence, or not keeping even lateral pressure against the fence as I'm feeding the board through the saw. But that's just me. 🙂. Nice build and thank you for sharing!

I totally get what you mean. Handling big sheets is always tricky and in most cases its better to move the saw then the big sheet. I ♥ Izzy Swan content, great stuff :)

I've seen other sets of these, but I think this is my favorite and the one I will build. The other ones I've seen are functional and work just fine, but there's something almost elegant about this design. Of course, the fact that their built in a nice shop without dust and crap all over the place probably helps with that perception. Cheers!

Good idea. You need a fence extension to make this usefull else you can not control the cut angel.

Nice work on a sturdy table saw accessory. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum last week 😎

Good idea with the toggle clamps. I think I'll make these for my DeWalt job-site saw, because the surface available in front of the blade is absurdly small.

Yes I agree, as soon as larger sheets are used then its very hard to support it when feeding it into the saw.

I saw that you had 3D printed the end caps for the box tube, was the extended knob for the saw 3D printed as well? If it was, is the STL available, if not, where can one be bought. Thanks

Good idea :) Though I don't use my TS to cut sheet goods any more.

Maybe some wall rack system?

@@DesireToInspire1 Use my track saw for sheet goods. I used to wrestle sheets on my table saw, but track saw is so much better, and SO much safer. Course only my opinion. :)

😮 Ansonsten wirklich tolles Projekt weiter so
