Se a Embraer quiser crescer terá que entrar no segmento do 737 e do A320 ou entrar no segmento dos novos jatos comerciais supersônicos.

Interestingly, the big backlog of orders for the Airbus A220 series has suddenly revived interest in the E195-E2. That's how Porter Airlines in Canada was able to expand, because they could get the E195-E2 a lot faster than an A220. I wouldn't be surprised if American or United are looking at the E195-E2 to eventually replace the rapidly aging A319 fleet of both airlines.

The lack of range issue is never going away, it's built in. An A220 can fly from any city in Australia or Canada to any other city in the country. That's really impressive and that's what the airlines want.

The E2 has gained traction compared to from a few years ago. Royal Jordanian just introduced it, Scoot has ordered them. KLM is rumored to make a follow up order. They (P&W) just need to get their engine problems fixed! But the A220 has the same issue (same engine). Working together with Boeing would help, maybe they still find together in the future!

9:02 if fhe E2 can compete with the A220? Generally yes, but they service kind kf different market niches. The base models are kf different sizes (~20 seat difference). The biggest E2 model is just slightly bigger than the smallest A220 model. So the A220 reaches into the 737/320 family area much more than the E2. Plus the E2 also serves a market segment that the A220 doesnt at all. Comparing the closest two, the A220-100 and 195E2, the E2 has clear advantages especially in efficiency. The A220-100 has the range and performance advantage here, but 90%+ of the airlines don't need these advantages. Average flight lenght is like 1,5 hours and 99% of all runways long enough anyway. It all depends on what the specific airline needs and what fits their fleet better.

Great regional airliner for domestic routes in small medium size countries , US laws are nuts.

That applies to the E175-E2, but not the E195-E2. The E195-E2 could be used to replace the aging A319 fleets of United and American Airlines.

I bet the laws are there in order to protect US products to compete against foreign government subsidised products.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boeing and Embrear still end up working together despite what has happened previously. Boeing seem incapable of managing a clean sheet design project without major issues. Embrear seem good at building new design aircraft on time (and budget) but don't have the cash to create a brand new aircraft. The Two seem a good match, but who knows with Boeing. If there's a loaded gun on the sideboard Boeing will keep looking at it over and over until the urge to pick it up and shoot their foot becomes too strong

Maybe for Embraer E2 in my mention is unpopular than AIRBUS because, no one buys it.
