My favourite modern band played a Teenage Cancer Trust fundraiser show. They were the youngest and most interesting band of the week. It was a sunny Friday night and somehow I was first in the queue to get a prime barrier spot. I made a mistake though and ended up standing directly behind the conductor of the NIA choir. I wish someone had told me in advance! There was a slight win as security wouldn't let her stand on a stool which would have completely blocked my view so she had to stand on the ground. I enjoyed the NIA choir as a one off but I think Young Fathers as a vocal unit are so powerful on their own that I only want to see them. I have also loved seeing the fierce femal duo of Kim and Amber joining the Fathers but only Kim was in attendance and now I worry that Amber is no longer part of the live group as she's not on the US tour either.
Enjoy this performance of 'I Heard' as the choir and the audience join in, "It's only cos I'm hurting..."
P.S. I meant to video this in landscape to get the full band and choir but was distracted by drunk people behind me trying to get into my barrier space.
