Glad you're all enjoying this video! It's worth pointing out that most of the lowered cars you see are on air ride suspension, which can be adjusted in height both when parked and driving - all cars fitted, like the BMW, typically drive at only 20-40mm below standard ride height, causing no damage to the bodywork. Also air ride typically provides a just as comfy, if not comfier ride than stock!

I absolutely love this! It’s horrible in Ireland insurance companies refuse to offer classic car insurance to people under the age of 25 and some insurers say 30

Beautiful cars - glad to see them preserved, maintained and cherished. So many "slammed" examples, though - I don't understand it - lowered suspensions, giant aftermarket wheels and low profile tires are a recipe for a terribly stiff, hard ride. When you can't see barely any tire between the top of the rim and the fender. I guess it's a style and preference choice for the right "stance" but I don't care for it personally. Upgraded rims and modern tires are good but not like this - I think it looks odd and detracts from the original design. Great to see so many young enthusiasts, though. Gives me hope for car nuts like me. Thanks for everything you guys do - love your posts!

I would think that these cars and drivers would be low risk for an Insurer. The cars are cherished and looked after and probably don’t do a lot of mikes each year. Gives hope for the classic car future.

Seeing a car club made up primarily of younger people is impressive. No doubt this plays a big part in the incredible diversity of vehicles they've chosen, which is the most impressive thing of all to me. Seeing the array of vehicles on display was a real treat and those featured in the video appeared to be just the tip of the iceberg. Though I'm primarily drawn to sports cars, I do appreciate vehicles of all kinds. I've got to tip my cap to the guy with the Gasser - we don't even see very many of those here in the States, so I can't begin to imagine how much that car must stand out over there.

It’s a different hobby really. “Car crafting” perhaps? Not for people who like actually driving. Because most of those will be truly awful to drive. That’s absolutely fine! More of an artistic hobby.

You misunderstand me. I’m 60 . I know exactly what cars from the 1960s 70s 80s feel like. I’ve owned hot hatches, lotus, lancia, caterham, Datsun, 260Z, Ferrari, Porsche from that era. I’m talking about driving as opposed to modding that’s all. Relax. I’m full of admiration for these youngsters keeping them alive. !

@@kramnam4716 I think I understand what you are saying (I'm 60 as well), but I'm guessing that the members featured here enjoy driving their vehicles more than you are imagining. Growing up in the States in the rural midwest, I was one of the few in my high school class to buy a foreign car and the only one with a sports car. All of my buddies drove American made cars and a number of them were into modifying/hot rodding their cars. I do believe that they enjoyed driving their cars just as much as I enjoyed driving mine, though often for very different reasons.

Lowering them totally spoils the look & originality. I was surprised they didn't have bright coloured furry dashboards fitted with "Ghetto Blasters" playing Rap music.

Lowering cars might not be to your taste, Gary, but enthusiasts are enthusiasts and we'd much rather they drove these than a financed Fiesta ST!

Define originality, most cars of this age have been restored, welded and aren’t factory in some ways. A lot of the cars in our club wouldn’t ever see the road again if we didn’t do what we did to them. The golf for example was just a bare shell not worth restoring to most people!
