If you’re from the city, the world of rodeos can seem pretty wild west.
Some of the biggest rodeos in the country are held in the smallest towns, like at Nebo, in Central Queensland.
They’re a traditional part of outback Aussie culture…with their origins in stockmen and drovers who herded cattle for a living.
And for many people who live in rural and remote communities, they’re often the main event of the social calendar.
ABC Tropical North's Hannah Walsh and Lillian Watkins caught up with some cowboys and cowgirls to get their rodeo top tips.
