I hope this video gets to people who need to hear it, i'm someone who's spent the better part of the last year or so healing and facing off with my deepest mental scars. I've found myself, found who i am in both the bad and the ugly and have accepted those things. I know my core values and who i am as a person, your ego will destroy you in extremely insidious ways. I let my ego destroy me and the relationships in my life that mattered so much to me but no more i say. I should've died a handful of years ago at my own hand, i've got the scars to prove it, but that's not an existence i want for myself and nor should you. It's misery and misery isn't living. Be kind to yourself, we're all existing in a mixing pot with stories coinciding within each other constantly.

This is not Ai but a man. Reasons are Ai doesn't have the cadence of the language and often mispronounces words. And Ai would never offer you advice that encourages you to rid yourself of ego. Ai is all about ego at present, that's the way the programmers have oriented it. Taking responsibility for yourself means you realize your individual autonomy. And if you live in that truth, then you would also recognize the individual autonomy of others. So many good points are made that we do need to think about now because the general population is nothing short of grown teenagers emotionally.

"It's unfair" How can we crack that shell? I'm trying to understand, because I see a lot of freedom just outside of it. Our ego try to keep us inside, all while knowing it's bending the truth to convince us, looking worringly upon his shoulder to what we should not aspire to in his opinion. I wish you courage and hope in this journey, and to end up in a place in which you're happy (I tried my best I'm still learning English, hope it makes sense ^^)

Know this; our ego thrives on hurt and sufferings. It is the stuff it feeds on. It is the ego that keep on reminding us about our past and what happened before. The ego is the “narrator” that’s feeding us with the “story” that it has chosen for us. It demands us to follow the script and not stray outside of our personal story or else it threatens to destroy us. It promises us protection against an evil world if we are faithful, but scares us with doomsday if we betray it! Ego is extremely personal and highly emotional about its own creation. It can absolutely not tolerate any kind of criticism or questioning regarding its own story of being. Sure, our ego doesn’t always act as the lunatic dictator that it truly is. Many times it just sails along together with us silently making sure that we’re not overstepping our personality boundaries and take matters into our own hands completely. It will pop up its ugly head, every now and then, to remind us of who we are in the overall drama it has chosen for us. It will go completely bonkers if we decide to overthrow its authority and it will make sure we understand what hellish risks we take if we decide to go completely solo from now on forward. But never underestimate the cunningness of our ego! Sometimes it will even play along nicely with our halfhearted attempts to be free from it, only to re-emerge later with a doubled forced vengeance to make sure we never attempt such capers again. Be sure it will find very personal reasons why a separation from it is the worst thing we can ever do to ourselves. It is the clinging to it within us that keeps it manifest in our psyche. Gollum in the Lord of the Rings is our own clinging. The Ring is the Ego. It can only be destroyed by the same means it was once created. -At the fire at the centre of our own core, the eternal fire of wisdom awareness. The clinging and the ego is consumed together when the fire of wisdom arise from within and our mission is completed! That fire is our freedom but we have no choice but to travel towards it alongside our own clinging carrying the heavy burden of ego on our backs, or around our necks until the moment we are reached by the overwhelming power of our own wisdom fire. Only at that moment we are so completely exhausted and left for dead that we are actually ready to discard ourselves of all clinging. Only then are we ready to let go completely of all hesitations and give up all resistance and search for safety.

I could say the same about the vain mindset, where you think that everything revolves around you, that you have perfect control of anything in your life, and that you shouldn't engage in any existential matters until you clean your room, which will never happen, since you can always say that a room is dirty in some way, or have some personal problem you can put first before politics or global issues. It is a prideful mindset that claims that cause and effect doesn't work on decisions and tries to convince you that you earned everything you have through hard work, and that if anyone isn't successful or isn't happy about where they are in life, it's their fault. The vain mindset implies that a part of every human operates beyond space and time which has some magical personality that has no cause and can spontaneously morph itself by will into anything it desires, but it has the potential to desire anything, and only actually desires what it wants to desire, but what is chosen to be desired is in no way effected by the original desires, because remember, cause and effect don't apply. Somehow this thing's choices have the capability to be made "objectively" or subjectively. It can't be "objective" in the sense that it views it's own desires, it's possible actions, then makes the best decision available, because that is the same as acting subjectively. The vain mindset doesn't dare to even consider such logical contradictions in it's own philosophy, but pushes on because the vain mindset is pure vanity, creating it's own narrative even if it means being willfully ignorant of the world existing contrary to everything it teaches just to assert that people have some kind of free will and can be held responsible in some way for everything going wrong in their life. God forbid someone draw a causative line, drawing everyone's choice of action back to a childhood experience or an environmental factor, God forbid that the criminals go free because neural research has discovered all of the neural patterns that predetermine crime, God forbid that I might not be able to punish someone who couldn't help themself because it is considered irrational to do.

7:54 i kinda disagree, i hope this is a safe place to vent Growing up , most things has been hard for me, i was born poor, my house flood with sewage water everytime it rains I had one job, to do what i was told At first i did fine, not to expectation but passing anyways But suddenly, they start acting like they care out of nowhere I was told i had one job, to bear the weight of my family and their dream, their ending was in my hands and I'm the one who needs to make the choice where they can rest in peace A duty which i didn't understand at the beginning yet still accepted as my fate So why? Why do they start caring now? Why? They always told me i had one job, and now, they expect me to make adult choices when they didn't taught me how? They didn't care before, why care now? They didn't care when i got sa by my own brother They didn't care when i cried and beg them not to hit me They didn't care when i said i tried my best They didn't care when others hit me, tease me, bully me So why? I tried to do everything i was asked of yet it was never enough and they always wanted more But someone has to bare the responsibility, and between me and my rather pedophilic brother The weight of the choice on my shoulder isn't about me, but the ones i love as well

So you have been abused and it's not your fault, and you shouldn't take responsibility for their dream but you should take responsibility for yourself and for getting away from people who hurt you. It's only one perspective on the topic, you don't have to agree, who knows if it's true or not? In my opinion we have a lot of power and we can choose a lot, but also the environment shapes us and conditions us in some way. Humans aren't walking stoic statues we have emotions and too much pressure and pushing will make anyone nasty, damaged, disregulated. Sometimes people can't control themselves, sometimes despite extremely harsh condition they can manage a lot. Nobody is perfect, it doesn't matter what is fully true just try to take care of yourself first make your own life better, get away from people who abuse you.

I feel like the ego is painted in such a distasteful manner in this video. I think the ego itself serves as a default survival setting… which is essential in one’s longevity. I don’t think it needs to be defined in such a personal based aspect as though the ego is highly impacted by the possibility of it being wrong. Yes I think at times this statement can be true but across the board in every situation I do not believe it is that black and white and in a way that negates away from the positive aspects to be found in why the ego exists. If it did not benefit people I do not think it would be a factor in terms of the human experience. Most things I think are because they serve some kind of purpose in the survival of different species. Adaptation is why anxiety and depression are a thing and I believe it is possible that the ego essentially is an adaptation humans developed over generations to best navigate through life. Yes there are downsides to be had as there is with just about anything that exists but that doesn’t mean there aren’t positive aspects to be seen. I don’t know maybe I over think things but with most things I think there’s a reason it is and there is good and bad to be found it depends on how one looks at it.

The answer most people likely have to "what's holding you back from taking responsibility?" is a crippling fear that if I do, no one else will, and I'll thus leave myself exposed to the blame and condemnation of every soul around me who can point and shout "Aha! So you admit it!" It's perhaps the chief downside of our deeply social nature as a species - the premium placed on the appearance of looking good versus actually doing good traps a great many of us in a self-fabricated prisoners' dilemma. It might be helpful to view things through this lens when grappling with the age-old questions of solving for ego.
@freetibet1000

Actually, that’s what we tell ourselves each time we decide to shy away from responsibility. We picture ourselves being eaten alive by a whole world that are out to get us if we fuck up, isn’t? But the magical thing is that whenever we actually own up to our own responses and actions we are more likely being rewarded with respect from others. Remember, it is not about being right at every moment, but to be true to the situation and how we decide to respond to it in a responsible way. At the end of the day, it is not validation and glorification from others that we seek. What really puts our mind to rest and satisfaction is how true we are to ourselves. If we stumbles, sometimes, we acknowledge it and then we move on. We never cling to any aspects of our own being. We just move on. Moment by moment. We go with the flow of life and stop being so judgmental about ourselves. No matter what ego tells us life is not about being right or wrong. It’s all about being authentic, one moment at the time.

I feel badly for Nelson Mandela. The man endured 27 brutal years in prison while not succumbing to the victim mentality, true. He’s an admirable person; one with integrity. And then…he’s freed from imprisonment and shoved into the position of leading a country gone full-on rogue. Was Nelson Mandela a person who took responsibility seriously? Yes. Did he want healing for his country. Yes. Was he ready? I mean, sure, he knew who HE was, he knew the country had only worsened…but did he take a minute to give some thought to the fact that his ideals, although good, would no longer be enough for what had happened and accumulated over those 27 years? Did he tell folks that maybe he needed some time to take a look at his country’s current situation and form a new plan? No. He did not. It looked a lot like NM let his celebrity go to his head. And South Africa? Now? An absolute lawless 💩hole. I don’t think NM helped the situation at all. Jmo. But glad he didn’t allow himself to fall into victimhood. Victimhood is not a great plan.

What if you're a kid who was overfed by their parents and now has an eating disorder, is that their fault?
@ArtificiallyAware
17 күн бұрын
No, it’s not the child’s fault. As a child, you were at the mercy of the decisions made by those around you, and the impact of those decisions is something you had no control over. However, as you grow older and become aware of the problem, the dynamic shifts. If, as an adult, you find yourself focusing all your energy on blaming your parents instead of taking steps toward healing, that’s when responsibility comes into play. It’s not about denying the impact your childhood had on you - it’s about recognizing that, while you couldn’t control what happened back then, you do have the power to shape what happens next. Allocating your energies toward blame might feel justified, but it won’t move you forward. Instead, by acknowledging what’s within your control now, you can begin the process of healing and creating a healthier lifestyle. Responsibility here isn’t about fault; it’s about empowerment and reclaiming your life, despite the challenges you’ve faced.

It's deeply disappointing for us to know that everything in your videos can be completely credited to AI. And not as a result of your own creativity and sophistication.

As opposed to you, who invented your own language parallel to English, your own profile picture which is a symbol entirely created and founded by you, your original username. Or the fact that, all of the knowledge you have within yourself is a result of the learnings of the billions of people before you. Are we not all artificially aware? Be grateful that somebody is compiling this incredibly useful information in a way that is approachable, understandable, and easy to implement in your own life.
