Pretty cool, stumbled on this. I would argue though that your pinki/ring should swap strings on those "E-Shape" barre chords, it's best to develop muscle memory for things like this early on before expanding. Sure, removing the pinki for the dominant 7th is simple enough, but good luck sliding your pinki under your ring finger to drop a half step on the D string to achieve the Major 7th. Sooo much easier if instead your ring finger controlled the D-string, and then sliding back one fret doesn't have any obstacles to go around/over/under! Let's look and modify the "E-shape" barred in the 5th for an A. (x means muted, the numbers within [] are the fret numbers respectively from 6th to 1st string standard tuning [E-A-D-G-B-e]: "A Major" [5-7-7-6-5-5] Notes p/string: (A-E-A-C#-E-A) Scale Degree p/string: (1-5-1-3-5-1) "A Maj 7" [5-7-6-6-5-x] Notes p/string: (A-E-G#-C#-E-a) Scale Degree p/string: (1-5-maj7-3-5-first) "A Dom7" [5-7-5-6-5-5] Notes p/string: (A-E-G-C#-E-A) Scale Degree p/string: (1-5-dom7-3-5-1) looking at the 4th string (the D string, 3rd item from left to right) you can see how all these are exactly the same shape with only 1 string changing where it's fretted, why would you want your furthest finger in the middle of the rest to attempt to get to these? EDIT: Found an example to give that I noticed re-watching the end segment. 4 minutes in (ending at roughly 4:32) you land on the root with your ring finger (and naturally do this I might add). You had to mute, then completely let-go and re-form your hand to accommodate the muscle memory of how you hold that barred G, where if you were also used to the shape with swapped pinki/ring, you could've let that note ring out while dropping the rest of your fingers down to make the shape and accompany it with the full chord. Not saying this is how it should be played or anything, just trying to provide an example where even unrelated to alternative chords this can greatly come in handy, especially if the ability to play fast is one of your goals, speed equates to least amount of and efficient movement, having to let-go and completely re-form to this muscle memory shape takes up quite a bit of time. Really hope this is read proper, and not taken as "salty" but generally inquisitive on the usefulness of the "shape" outlying my reasoning for one way, and would love to see examples of things I myself may not have considered.

I've never had a problem with this, but I'm glad you posted for others to consider!
