Im the same way with kickflips. I have "landed" probably about 30 kickdlips or more but I always jump off right when i land or i land with half my feet on the boqrd and the back half of my feet on the ground. Its all because im not fully committing so instead i jump backwards a bit causing my landings to only have my toes on the board but heels off.

Just landed my first pop shuvit. To be fare, it was stationary. But i definitely feel like doing your first flat ground tricks stationary expect ollies is a must. After you 100% nail down like a pop shuvit or kickflip, then you can learn all your tricks moving.

Learned all of the basic ones stationary myself. Had to roll once I got to learning backside flips. But, I reccomend still pop shuvs, kickflips, heelflips for sure.
