I mean, if his friends abandon him, were they ever really his friends to begin with? He cheated on the woman, not on you bruh 🤣. @@echo1375 All these ideas are idealistic at best. The person has problems in their romantic relationship area, maybe they're afraid to get attached or maybe someone once hurt them so they try to do the same. As the friend you know this and take that into consideration. Also if you have any friends right now, both male and female, chances are they've cheated at a certain point in their lives. They might not admit it, they might even actually think it wasn't being unfaithful because the other relationship wasn't yet official, and yet you're probably still friends with them. I posted a main comment about certain things and would really appreciate it if you gave it a read, maybe then you'll understand my viewpoint better. If you don't believe me, how about questioning everyone you know, and if they have cheated, see if you can just cut them out of your life. Of course this entire example is ridiculous, but hey, if you're 100% sure then why not 🤷🏾♂️.

My heart goes to Ariel and her 2 kids she had with that man. She's probably very devastated right now and I can understand that pain but I understand the pain more for the kids than her. My dad cheated on my mom with his coworker for around 6-8 months, though he insists that it was just a "month or two" even though the message history dates back further. I feel terrible for Ariel, but more so for the kids. Cause growing up knowing my dad was a cheater sucked. It broke all of my trust for him and made me lose so much love for him. Of course I still love him and slightly forgive him because hes my dad, but I will NEVER forgive what he did to my mom. Even though she gave him a 2nd chance and hes a WILDLY different man now, a little part of me doesn't trust him anymore and its affected my life in such a drastic way that can never be repaired. My parents had been together for 16 years up until that point and what he did just tore my mom. It literally broke her. She was basically the "stay at home mom" doing the cooking, cleaning, watching 3 kids, etc. and ever since then, she's stopped doing all of that aside from the cooking just because she needs to feed my siblings and I, but even so, she doesn't cook as often as she did before. It would be everyday but now its 5 times a month IF we are lucky. She got even more depressed, she gained trust issues, she developed anxiety around him and PTSD whenever he drives near the home wreckers house or his location lags/stops working for a bit. She even was suicidal for a few months and even though she's better now and my dad Is better now, my mom won't ever be the same and the Unconditional trust and love I had for my dad wont be the same either. I still love him and play games and watch TV and talk about random things with him, but I won't see him in the same way that I did when I was just a child. I was old enough to understand what he did, how he tore us apart, ruined my mom, ruined all 3 kids relationships with him, ruined our bonds we had built for years, ruined the fact that I was 'daddy's girl' and made me heavily distance myself from him for years until my parents got back together and even now I'm still slightly distant but not how I was back then. Of course I'm glad he changed for the better, but I won't ever forget the pain he made my mom and brothers feel. I'll forgive him because hes better but I will never forget.

I’m so sorry you and your siblings have all gone through all that. My mom met some guys while she was still dating my dad (in which we laughed off the story) and my dad had actually cheated on her after marriage before he died. I found out about this after he died (3 years after when my mom was stressed out). My dad had a broken home which was a different can of worms regarding his mom, dad, and step dad’s relationship which kind of made me understand. But after seeing your comment, despite both of my parents’ fairly absent raising due to their work schedules or attempt at getting a work schedule going, I feel as if I still could’ve treated my mother better. I have two older siblings and we’ve doubted our father’s ability to get a job and our family going so it wasn’t that surprising but, we still loved him. I found out that I was actually still mad about a lot of things at my mom for from a heart to heart with my friend but, now I understand especially after reading your comment. The reason they had to fire him is because Alex works for him. It would be so easy for her to sue for a hostile work environment and say he pressured her. He wasn't just her boss, he was part owner. There is no HR just the try guys. They can't even fire her over this either because that would be seen as retaliation. He honestly could have destroyed the try guys with this. Cheating scandals are a dime a dozen, especially with celebrities. We were basically already over Adam Levine's infidelity when this popped up. What makes this one worse to me, is that Ned was literally "The Wife Guy" of the group, that was his thing, and he couldn't even do that. Alex, his coworker relationship, was also "The Fiancé Girl". Now I realize why they had to keep mentioning their significant others all the time, they were trying to convince us and themselves that they both weren't cheating scumbags. Cheating is so much worse than society often portrays it (likely due to the high prevalence). But seriously, cheating is rarely ever "just" the act of having sex with someone outside your relationship. It almost always entails a *lot* of gaslighting and emotional manipulation, which, yes, is a form of abuse. It also literally destroys families and poisons childrens' perception of what healthy relationships are supposed to look like. When kids grow up knowing their parents cheated, they're more likely to tolerate that from their own partners and subsequently tolerate the emotional abuse that goes along with it... Also, cheating is just a very laughably low emotional-intelligence thing to do. You have to have very little empathy and very poor communication skills to be okay with cheating, especially for a prolonged period of time. Literally any normal person would just leave their relationship or communicate their unhappiness to their partner, or even go to couples counseling instead. Granted there are some scenarios where I can see why someone would feel that cheating was their only option, but that is a small minority of cases.

I do believe getting caught makes you rethink everything and can genuinely make someone change, not that it retracts the fact that he did something horrible, but i do believe he could probably want to change, like when you park in double line "just for a few minutes" and get a ticket, or when you get home later in the night and get grounded far worse than you ever thought your parents would dare to, of course you're sorry you got caught but it also makes you never want to do shit like that ever again because you never thought of the consequences and start to appreciate the liberty and happiness you had earlier. Of course these are much small events not entirely comparable to cheating, but as it is much more bigger so must be the shame he must feel.

Even if they "forgive" him, it'll linger n the back of their minds "This might happen again, he's done it before" They can't trust him and that's gonna forever traumatize the family. About Ned constantly talking about his wife: It is a common thing with people who know they’re doing something wrong to constantly talk about how they are doing the opposite. The common form of this is what I call the Elen degenerate: ‘nooo I’m such a kind person! I’m so nice! I deserve special treatment because I’m just so nice! Don’t call me out on what I did, I’m so nice!’. It’s both to brush off suspicions, deflect blame for their actions, and in some cases it is a coping mechanism for the guilt they feel for doing what they are doing. That’s why I don’t trust when people try to convey things through words rather than actions, y’know? It’s easier to trust a guy who does loving and caring things for his wife rather than a guy who just blabbers about how much he loves his wife and does nothing to prove it.

Yeah, all of the others were very slow to introduce their SO's (except Becky, as they literally got married as the new company was started and she just shines in the spotlight anyways; though in that same vein, you never hear ANY of them talk about their SO's the way Ned did--you saw their love in the way they treat each other and interact, not just with words)

@@aff77141 Not to mention he started bringing up Ariel (although I don't think by name) all the way back in the early Buzzfeed Try Guy days too.

Honestly I think he did care for his wife back when the "my wife" meme was at its peak. His mentions of her died down so hard in the last two years, so it might genuinely be the opposite.

I hope his wife is not one of those people that say “He was just confused” when their husband cheats on them.Dude straight up capitalized the whole “i love my wife” thing just to stab her in the back..

honestly if she forgave him i wouldn't be surprised, they were together for almost 10 years if not more. he seemed so genuine about loving Ariel. i really hope he sets things rights with them, but i hope they DON'T get back together, cause if he cheats once, he can cheat again. i'm so heartbroken about this, Ned should've done better, Alex should've done better.

A former employee came out on tiktok and said ned was over compensating with how much he made his wife his personality. Alex, the woman who he had the relationship with, also lost her 10 year relationship and engagement

I'm glad her fiancee had to pull the plug and expose them
