I visited the Land of Israel once and I had the overwhelming feeling that I had come home when the plane landed. When the day arrived that I had to return to the States I felt so sad. So far I don’t think I am Jewish but I have a longing to return. I was a Christian but thanks to Rabbi Singer I am now a Noah-Hyde and I am so home sick for the homeland of our Hashem. My prayer is that people will read the Hebrew Tanakh in context and compare it with the Christian Bible.

21:00 I very much respect Rabbi Tovia and his videos. In this case, his interpretation of the Hebrew word AR(U)R being same or similar to A(U)R (light) is interesting. As he pointed out correctly, the Hebrew word for curse is KLL not ARR. But still, the term ARR is definitely negative. Meaning negative light. We see this word used multiple times in the Torah in conjunction to negative themes. The passage indeed tells us that Ham "revealed his father's intimate parts", and then told his brothers. Generally, the bible uses clean language to describe intimate relationships. As seen clearly in similar passages in the Torah of the same context. So this passage is purposely ambiguous. The following passage relates that Noah awoke and saw what his youngest son had done to him. Which implies that something was physically done to him. The Talmud brings two traditions, one , that Hams sin against his father Noah, was that he castrated him (to prevent further reproduction). The other, that he sodomised him. Another tradition indicates that it was Hams youngest son Canaan who actually did the bad deed, interpreting "his youngest son" as referring to Hams youngest son (at the behest of Ham). The main theme here is exploiting the vulnerability of the father (who has saved them from the flood) , as a means to dominate and reverse the natural course of authority.

To Paul Sandberg. You said "no one has to keep the Law any more." That doesn't explain why in Acts 15 the Jewish-Christians were debating whether the Gentiles had to keep the Torah (including circumcision). This means those who were Jewish continued to do so (in the year 50 CE). Also, Acts 21:24 has James saying to Paul, "You yourself live in observance of the Law, but as for the Gentiles who have believed...." No indication that Jewish believers stopped observing the Torah.

I love watching the Rabbi's videos, as I was brought up in the Christian tradtion and have gradually come to the insight that Christianity corrupts the Jewish Scriptures. His presentation of those is quite interesting. However; I have also come to the insight that the Jewish Scriptures are not what they are purported to be. An archaeological view on the Jewish Scriptures, as presented by prof Israel Finkelstein, brought me to the insight that the Jewish Scriptures are not divinely inspired, but more of a product of political ideology and religious spin. I love the Jews as a nation however. Their cultural history is also part of my own. I just do not take myths like the creation narrative, the deluge and the exodus literally. If I had been a Jew, I would be proud to be one, but I would certainly be a secular Jew.

What I see is that in leviticus, the Jews were given instructions as to whom you could enslave. It was the heathens that surrounded them. They were given instructions as how to treat them, how much to punish them and they could be passed down to their sons. Maybe what the rabbi was talking about was for the jews. @@ytsi7505 all converts are obligated to do everything a born Jew is to do and bound by the Mitzvot. They are to be treated as a born Jew and shouldn’t be asked if they are a convert. But everyone knows because you are named (chosen Hebrew name) with Avraham v'Sarah. But, yes all converts live and practice as born Jews.
