I just propagate my yucca plant in water a few days ago some roots already starting to come in. Thank you for this comparison video. I’m glad I made the right choice to water propagate.

Really helpful, thank you! We have a medium sized yucca and it is at the point of needing pruning and I wanted to try and propagate some stems, so this really helps. Have you got any updates on how they are doing now?

Those roots from the water propagation look great! So long!! I propagated a ficus ginseng bonsai, after months finally a new leaf has grown on! I'm super happy, I wasn't sure if the roots were growing and was scared to take it out of the soil to look but it seems good! :D But now two of the old leafs are turning brown, any idea why or how? Am I giving too much water or not enough water? The quality of your videos is super good btw! Great job! :)

Hi, It could be too much water. But sometimes they are just old leaves so that time to fall. Which mean doesn't have to worry much 😀😃

Do you just add water or you need to add something else to the water,?

Thank you for the video! I did soil and water propagation for my ficus ginseng bonsai and they both did real well. I think the water propagation grew the roots faster. I'm curious though. Do the ficus ginseng propagation ever get as big and fat as the original bonsai or do they just grow long like a branch?

It takes many years to become a big fat bonsai and you have to trim leave time by time to get a thick trunk.
