After John Adams "Must the devil have all the good tunes?" and Teddy Abrams jazzy piano concerto this is the third piano concerto written especially for Yuja. All of the three are completely different and all of them are fantastic compositions. My wife and I were so lucky to attend this one live in Lyon! Speechless....she's really the Queen of Piano! 👍 👍👍

She’s a “wonder” alright. I wonder why she’s feeling the need to dress like a Las Vegas cocktail waitress without the bunny ears. They should suspend a trapeze over the piano and she can pretend she’s at the circus! Her costume is entirely inappropriate and degrades the music and composer. I would feel insulted and I don’t want to see a woman’s half naked body when I’m listening to fine music. I’m not alone. It’s just too much.

Titi' lovely

As for Yuja…why did she choose to play this? Maybe because it’s challenging and she’s likes it. What else? She’s too smart to choose dead-end material. And who could gainsay her extraordinary talent? @NancyLittrell-sw6tk

@@LASoundCrafter it is shallow of her to be such an exhibitionist rather than have her playing stand alone. She does not play with as much feeling as the pianists I mentioned.
