You can tell Yuma developed the quality of performance that demands people's attentions, and everyone's eyes were gluing to him excepted those two doing warm up on the side.

Carorina sensei is the best decision, yuma's details are getting clearer. 😭✨️ His jump is smooth but i love his spins so much. Also, that bombastic side eye at the beginning was because of the music error lol

Yuma's performance here was good. Great to see Carolina Kostner on his team.

It seems like this program and music are trying to create a similar type of atmosphere and energy as Nathan Chen's 2021 Worlds LP to the Phillip Glass medley. The challenge with this program is that the tempo gets progressively faster right up to the end, requiring the skater to expend even more energy in the second half when he's the most tired. Strategically, I'm not sure picking a piece of music where the tempo gets increasingly faster as it moves along is a good idea from the standpoint of pacing or preserving stamina.

I saw him do this program at last year's Japan Nationals, and I still don't like it. It's not as strong as his SP. It also doesn't have any transitions into or out of the jumps.

I would like to think they will add in more difficulty as the season goes on - as he's coming back from injury and yes there were some transitions - there could be more though. His skating is beautiful.

I believe more quads and transitions will be added as the season proceeds.

If it wants to be competitive, it will definitely have to make additions such as quadruples and transitions. But as it is, this program is mind-boggling. Kagiyama is an excellent performer as well as a fantastic athlete. What a comeback!

Actually, I think this is stronger than his SP. The music is better and more sophisticated, and the SP is too much like Nathan Chen’s style.

@@evanperilstein5308 I love the SP and find his LP too abstract. I noticed some of the guys trying to copy Nathan's style, which I loved, and if it works, then it works. That probably has a lot to do with Shae-Lynne Bourne having choreographed Kagiyama's SP, and she did a lot of Nathan's programs, too. Kagiyama's SP has a similar driving beat, and quick, sharp, angular movements in the choreography like Nathan's Nemesis SP and Land of All LP. I just love Shae's work and feel like she's really suited to choreograph for men, particularly strong, aggressive programs.
